Ceres Global Ag Corp. Announces Expansion Initiative for High Speed Grain Elevator at Northgate

Ceres Global Ag Corp. announced that it has approved plans to expand capacity at its planned 2.2 million bushel high speed grain elevator at the Northgate Commodity Logistics Centre. The expansion initiative is designed to enhance Ceres' soybean crop handling and oilseeds merchandising operations at Northgate. The expansion will incorporate the construction of an additional steel storage bin and is projected to add up to 430,000 bushels of incremental grain storage and handling capacity for soybeans and canola at Northgate, resulting in total capacity of 2.7 mm bushels. The expansion project is expected to incur a cost of $3.4 million (or $7.95 per bushel of capacity added). The additional bin will be integrated into the planned design of the high speed grain elevator, which is expected to be completed in full by March 2016.

Ceres Global Ag Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, revenue was $69.7 million compared to $54.8 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2013. Income from operations was $3.3 million compared to loss from operations of $1.3 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2013. EBITDA was $3.8 million compared to EBITDA loss of $1.6 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2013. Net income was $2.3 million compared to net loss of $2.1 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2013. Basic and fully diluted earnings per share were $0.13 compared to loss per share of $0.15 per share for the quarter ended December 31, 2013. Income before income taxes and other item was $2.34 million compared to loss before income taxes and other item of $3.63 million a year ago. For the nine months, the company reported revenues of $138.28 million compared to $198.90 million a year ago. Income from operations was $3.45 million compared to loss from operations of $15.22 million a year ago. Income before income taxes and other item was $1.19 million compared to loss before income taxes and other item of $21.50 million a year ago. Net income for the period was $2.10 million or $0.14 per basic and diluted share compared to $19.66 million or $1.38 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Cash flow used in operating activities was $32.79 million compared to cash flow provided by operating activities of $62.29 million a year ago.
