Cariboo Rose Resources Discovers New High Grade Copper Occurrence in Southeast BC

Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. reported a discovery and subsequent staking of high-grade copper mineralization in southeastern BC, called the Torrential Claim. The discovery, while still the early stages, was made in late September while following up a report in provincial Minister of Mines reports dating to the period around the First World War. Several grab samples were taken in the September site visit from a cliff located approximately six km north of the Skookumchuck River. One sample returned an analysis of 6.7% copper and another 1.1% lead and 0.14% zinc. Mineralization in the sample occurs as disseminations and fracture fillings in feldspar rich dykes that intrude middle Proterozoic age Purcell Group sediments. The September site visit was following up a reference in the 1918 report to the British Columbia Minister of Mines to a '20 foot wide iron pyrite covered ledge recently discovered on the Skookumchuck River' and a reference in the 1921 report to the British Columbia Minister of Mines (probably the same occurrence) to a sample assaying 11% copper over a width of four feet. While the new discovery is not interpreted to be the occurrence referenced in 1918 and 1921, it is assumed to be within a few km of it suggesting that the area in between has significant potential.

Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. Announces Return of the Canadian Creek Property, Yukon

Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. announced that it is assuming the operatorship and a 100% interest in the Canadian Creek Property, Yukon Territory from Coastal Gold Corp. The Canadian Creek property is located in the Yukon Territory approximately 160 kilometres south of Dawson City. The Canadian Creek property borders Kaminak Gold Corporation's Coffee Gold property immediately south of the recently discovered Sugar Zone. On its eastern claim boundary the property is bordered by the large tonnage Casino copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry deposit owned by Western Copper & Gold Corp. The property encompasses 320 claims covering 6,180 hectares and is prospective for both copper-gold porphyry mineralization (Casino style) and lode gold mineralization (Kaminak style). The terms of the acquisition include a $30,000 cash payment and the assumption of certain unpaid contractor liabilities. Coastal Gold acquired an option to earn a 60% interest in the Canadian Creek property in 2010 by way of an assignment of a 2009 agreement between Cariboo Rose and Alder Resources Ltd. for terms which included $250,000 in payments, the issuance of 150,000 shares plus an additional share issuance equal to $30,000 value and the completion of $2,500,000 in exploration.
