Cap-XX Limited Provides Earnings Guidance for the Financial Year Ended June 30, 2015; Reports Sales Results for the Financial Year Ended June 30, 2015

Cap-XX Limited provided earnings guidance for the financial year ended June 30, 2015. For the period, Group expects to report revenue and operating loss which are in line with the Board's expectations. During the year, the company achieved sales of approximately AUD 4.4 million for its traditional super capacitor product. This represents an increase of 10% over the previous year. The Board is pleased by the progress that has been made in its new business areas of Automotive and Thin line (ultra compact devices).

CAP-XX Secures Order Under Automotive MoU

Cap-XX Limited announced that, following delivery of the first test and evaluation samples of its automotive supercapacitor units under its MoU with a Global Tier -1 auto components company, test results under the programme to date have been very encouraging. The customer has placed orders for additional evaluation units which CAP-XX will manufacture at its Lane Cove facility in Australia for delivery to the customer in the third quarter of 2015.

CAP-XX Launches Thinline Range of Ultra-Thin Supercapacitors

CAP-XX announced the launch and commercial availability of its Thinline range of ultra-thin supercapacitors. This new range has been released to address the space-constrained needs of new products developed for the Internet of Things (IoT). Thinline is designed for use in ultra-thin electronic devices, including wearable devices, such as medical, fitness and health monitors, smart watches, drug delivery systems. Targeting high volume applications, the device has a significantly lower ASP than larger supercapacitors. CAP-XX Thinline supercapacitors will support pulsed loads from radio frequency modules such as Bluetooth, BTE, Zigbee, Z-WaveTM and AntTMand can work with thin film, solid state and coin cell batteries, energy harvesting modules and inductive recharging systems. Key features of the CAP-XX Thinline series include: Extremely thin, flexible package (0.6mm thick); Best-in-class power density (up to 117kW /litre) and high power output; Ultra-low resistance (ESR from 16mO), even at low temperatures; Excellent energy storage (up to 0.8Wh /litre); High cell voltages (up to 2.75V continuous); and Virtually unlimited charge-discharge cycle life. Typical Applications: Peak power for pulsed loads; Enable the use of small, low power batteries; Extend battery run-time and cycle life; Support peak loads such as wireless transmissions, vibration alerts, GPS location; Stored energy for low/variable power source; Enable the use of ambient energy harvesting modules; Enable ultra-quick charging times for portable devices and process equipment; and Backup power for mission-critical applications.
