This segment serves original equipment manufacturers of commercial air transport, business and regional aircraft, commercial airlines, and business aircraft operators. The Government Systems segment provides defense-related systems, products, and services comprising communications systems and products; avionics sub-systems; precision targeting and range and training systems; cockpit display products; and maintenance, repair, parts, after-sales support services, and aftermarket used equipment. This segment serves U.S. Department of Defense, other ministries of defense, other government agencies, and defense contractors. The Information Management Services segment offers voice and data communication services; flight support services; airport communications and information systems; train dispatching and information systems; and mission critical security systems. This segment serves commercial airlines, business aircraft operators, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, airport and critical infrastructure operators, and passenger and freight railroads. The company markets its products directly to customers, as well as through sales force, dealers, and sales representatives. Rockwell Collins, Inc. was founded in 1933 and is headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Rockwell Collins Appoints William Flowers as Director of North American Sales, Global Airports

Rockwell Collins announced that William Flowers has joined the company as director of North American sales, Global Airports. Flowers most recently served as vice president and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport. At DFW, he was responsible for spearheading the upgrade of virtually every technology system used at the airport including passenger processing, automated passport control, terminal and business systems and parking control. In his new role, Flowers will lead a team responsible for sales of Rockwell Collins' airport IT products and services in the United States and Canada. This includes Rockwell Collins' ARINC vMUSE(TM) common use passenger processing platform, ARINC SelfServ(TM) common use self-service kiosks, ARINC AirVue(TM) digital signage, as well as other solutions designed to enhance the passenger experience and improve airport operations. Mactan Cebu International Airport Selects Rockwell Collins Inc.'s ARINC Solutions

Rockwell Collins Inc. has announced that Mactan Cebu International Airport has selected Rockwell Collins's ARINC airport solutions to improve its passengers' travel experiences. The airport is currently using ARINC vMUSE common-use passenger processing system as well as ARINC SelfServ common-use self-service kiosks, and will soon implement many of the company's other solutions including ARINC AirVue Flight Information Display System, AirDB 7, the latest generation ARINC Airport Operational Database system and ARINC BagLink, a baggage messaging server. As part of the deployment, Rockwell Collins has teamed with Gunnebo AB to streamline the entire check-in process by implementing ARINC VeriPax on Gunnebo Security Group automated gates. The gates will validate passenger flight details, enhancing security at the airport. With this agreement, all of the common use airports in the Philippines are now using the ARINC common-use passenger processing platform to provide a better travel experience for their passengers.

Rockwell Collins Wins Contract from Coast Guard to Help with HC-144 Upgrade

Rockwell Collins gets $12 million from Coast Guard to help with HC-144 upgrade. The Coast Guard is upgrading its HC-144A Ocean Sentry medium-range maritime patrol aircraft by replacing the cockpit control and display unit, which is used in flight management. Once the technology refresh is done, the aircraft will be designated the HC-144B. As part of the upgrade project, the Coast Guard awarded Rockwell Collins a $12 million contract to cover the upgrade of two HC-144A aircraft, one for prototyping and the other for validation and verification. The Coast Guard has a fleet of HC-144 is built by Airbus Group. Once the new configuration is approved, the Coast Guard plans to upgrade the remaining aircraft with components supplied by Rockwell Collins.
