Colgate-Palmolive Company, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and markets consumer products worldwide. It operates in two segments: Oral, Personal and Home Care; and Pet Nutrition. It offers oral care products, including toothpastes, toothbrushes, and mouthwashes, as well as pharmaceutical products for dentists and other oral health professionals; personal care products comprising liquid hand soaps, shower gels, bar soaps, deodorants, antiperspirants, shampoos, and conditioners; and home care products, such as dishwashing liquids, laundry and dishwashing detergents, household cleaners, oil soaps, bleaches, fabric conditioners, and other products. The company also offers pet nutrition products for everyday nutritional needs; a range of therapeutic products to manage disease conditions; and various products with natural ingredients. Its principal trademarks include Colgate, Palmolive, Speed Stick, Lady Speed Stick, Softsoap, Irish Spring, Protex, Sorriso, Kolynos, elmex, Tom’s of Maine, Sanex, Ajax, Axion, Fabuloso, Soupline, and Suavitel, as well as Hill’s Science Diet, Hill’s Prescription Diet, and Hill’s Ideal Balance. The company markets its pet nutrition products for dogs and cats through pet supply retailers and veterinarians. Colgate-Palmolive Company was founded in 1806 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

Colgate-Palmolive Announces Board Changes

Colgate-Palmolive Company announced that John P. Bilbrey, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Hershey Company, has been elected to Colgate’s Board of Directors. Mr. Bilbrey, 58, brings considerable operational leadership experience and in-depth knowledge of the fast-moving consumer goods industry to the Colgate Board. Prior to joining The Hershey Company in 2003, Mr. Bilbrey served as Executive Vice President, Sales at Mission Foods and as President and Chief Executive Officer at Danone Waters of North America. He also served in positions of increasing responsibility in the United States and internationally during his 22 years at The Procter & Gamble Company. Separately, the company announced that the Board of Directors had accepted the resignation of Joseph Jimenez, Chief Executive Officer of Novartis, who served on Colgate’s Board of Directors since 2010. The Directors extended to Mr. Jimenez their sincere thanks for all of his contributions.

Colgate-Palmolive Company Declares Second Quarter of 2015 Dividend Payable on May 15, 2015

The Board of Directors of Colgate-Palmolive Company increased the ongoing quarterly common stock cash dividend by 6%. The increase will be effective in the second quarter of 2015. The new rate of $0.38 per share is up from $0.36 per share. The Board declared that the second quarter dividend is to be paid on May 15, 2015 to shareholders of record as of April 23, 2015. On an annualized basis, the new dividend rate is $1.52 against $1.44 per share previously.
