Corus Entertainment Inc., a media and entertainment company, operates radio stations; and specialty, pay, and conventional television networks in Canada and internationally. It operates through two segments, Television and Radio. The Television segment operates specialty television networks and conventional television stations; and provides pay television services. It is also involved in the production and distribution of films and television programs; merchandise licensing; children's book publishing; and animation software sale activities. This segment advertises and licenses proprietary films and television programs; sells licenses, customer support, training, and consulting related to the animation software business; and develops, produces, and distributes children’s animated content from Nelvana Studio, as well as to broadcasters and home entertainment companies. Its primary brands include YTV, TELETOON, ABC Spark, W Network, OWN, Oprah Winfrey Network (Canada), HBO Canada, Historia, Séries+, Nelvana, Kids Can Press, and Toon Boom. The Radio segment operates 39 radio stations that offer rock, news-talk, hits, adult contemporary, and country primarily under the CKNW AM 980, 99.3 The FOX, Country 105, 630 CHED, Fresh FM London, JUMP! 106.9, Q107, and 102.1 the Edge brands connecting listeners and communities across the country, on-air, online, and on site. The company has strategic partnership with SoCast Inc. Corus Entertainment Inc. was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

Corus Entertainment Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended November 30, 2014. For the period, the company reported revenues of CAD 227,111,000 compared with CAD 226,005,000 for the same period last year. Income before income taxes was CAD 73,015,000 compared with CAD 173,522,000 for the same period last year. Net income attributable to shareholders was CAD 51,906,000 or CAD 0.60 per basic and diluted share compared with CAD 150,891,000 or CAD 1.78 per basic and diluted share for the same period last year. Cash provided by operating activities was CAD 36,887,000 compared with CAD 51,983,000 for the same period last year. Additions to property, plant and equipment was CAD 2,823,000 compared with CAD 1,936,000 for the same period last year. Net cash flows for intangibles, investments and other assets were CAD 15,161,000 compared with CAD 1,907,000 for the same period last year. Adjusted net income attributable to shareholders was CAD 51,906,000 compared with CAD 55,177,000 for the same period last year. Adjusted basic earnings per share were CAD 0.60 against CAD 0.65 last year.

Corus Entertainment Announces Annual Dividend for Class A and Class B Shareholders, Payable on February 27, 2015, March 31, 2015 and April 30, 2015

Corus Entertainment Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has approved a $0.05 increase in its annual dividend. At the new rate, the dividend on an annual basis for the Company's Class A and Class B Shares is $1.135 and $1.14 respectively, up from the previous rate of $1.085 and $1.09, respectively. The company's monthly dividend for holders of its Class A and Class B Shares will increase to $0.094583 and $0.095, respectively. The dividend will be paid on each of February 27, 2015, March 31, 2015 and April 30, 2015 to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 13, 2015, March 16, 2015 and April 15, 2015, respectively.

Corus Entertainment Inc. Announces Management Changes

Corus Entertainment's President and Chief Executive Officer, John Cassaday, announced that, after 25 years in broadcasting and 15 years as President and CEO of Corus Entertainment, he is retiring from the company at the end of his contract term, effective March 30, 2015. Doug Murphy, Chief Operating Officer, will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Corus following John's departure. Doug Murphy has been with the company for 12 years and has held numerous senior management positions. Doug joined the company in 2003 to grow the Nelvana business as Executive Vice President, Business Development. Before joining Corus, Doug spent ten years with The Walt Disney Company in a variety of executive positions in Canada, the United States and Japan.
