Capgemini Appoints Bart Thielbar as Vice President, North American Utilities Practice Lead

Capgemini announced the appointment of Bart Thielbar as vice president, North American utilities practice lead. Thielbar, an industry veteran and former COO of utilities IT advisory firm TMG Consulting, will spearhead go-to-market activities and client delivery and report to Rob McKay, senior vice president, energy, utilities and chemicals lead for Capgemini North America. Thielbar brings more than 25 years of operational and delivery experience to Capgemini's growing utilities practice, which was recently named a leader by independent analyst firm Verdantix in its 2015 North America Green Quadrant for Power Utility IT Services report.

SILCA Selects CapGemini to Modernize IT Infrastructure

SILCA, an IT subsidiary of Credit Agricole S.A., has selected CapGemini S.A. for the modernization of its IT infrastructure. This program is built on a new seven-year partnership with Capgemini. SILCA intends to consolidate its infrastructures with a view to increased outsourcing, as well as the industrialization of processes and modernization of its tools. The program should lead to a significant reduction in IT production costs, and the digitalization of Credit Agricole's banking activities through a strong focus on innovation. Capgemini will assist SILCA on two key missions: firstly, it will provide support and consulting services in the areas of innovation and cybersecurity, and secondly, it will manage part of SILCA's IT infrastructures, through the creation of a joint venture.

Capgemini to Deliver the Majority of Neste's ICT Services

Capgemini will deliver the majority of Neste's ICT services including Service Integration and Management (SIAM), Business Application Operations, ICT Production Platforms, End-User Productivity Services and End-User Support through Capgemini's Intelligent Service Centre. Capgemini's Intelligent Service Centre will provide a centralized view of all helpdesk service requests by Neste's end users. Service metrics, linked to business processes, are set up based on this data. Analytics are then used to identify new ways of decreasing incidents, as well as improving processing times of the service requests.
