Canadian Energy Services &Technology Corp. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015

Canadian Energy Services &Technology Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. The company generated revenue of $233.8 million compared to $231.3 million for the three months ended March 31, 2014, an increase of $2.5 million or 1%. Gross revenue was negatively affected by a precipitous drop-off in drilling activity in the first quarter of 2015, and an overall reduction in gross revenues due to price discounting across all business units in response to customer demands in the current low commodity price environment. Offsetting these negative factors was the year-over-year growth of the JACAM and PureChem business units and the positive translation effect on US source revenues due to the devaluation of the Canadian Dollar versus the USD. Income before taxes was $16.5 million or $0.07 per diluted share against $25.4 million or $0.12 per diluted share last year. Net income was $13.9 million or $0.06 per basic and diluted share against $19.5 million or $0.09 per diluted share last year. EBITDAC was $41.1 million or $0.19 per basic and diluted share against $43.5 million or $0.21 per diluted share last year. Funds flow from operations was $34.8 million or $0.16 per basic and diluted share against $35.6 million or $0.17 per diluted share last year.
