It also provides on-site teaching and training services under the name of Classroom of Famed Instructors that primarily cover the education curriculum of junior, middle, and high schools. In addition, the company offers vocational and language training services; and an on-line vocational training service through 360ve.com Website, which is an Internet platform for training agencies and schools to offer their services. Further, it owns and operates two foreign language schools. China Education Alliance, Inc. was founded in 2004 and is based in Harbin, the People’s Republic of China.

China Education Alliance, Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported total revenue of $189,649 compared to $724,694 a year ago. Loss from operations was $7,505,552 compared to $6,113,191 a year ago. Net loss before provision for income tax was $7,497,622 compared to $6,045,002 a year ago. Net loss attributable to the company was $7,442,954 or $0.70 per basic and diluted share compared to $5,977,065 or $0.56 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was $6,368,132 compared to $4,915,769 a year ago. The decline in revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 was a result of decline in revenue across all of business.

China Education Alliance, Inc. Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter and Year Ended December 31, 2014

China Education Alliance, Inc. reported consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported that total revenues decreased by 53% to $0.4 million. Its net loss was $9.6 million or $0.9 per fully diluted share. Revenue for fiscal 2014 decreased by $4.0 million, or 59%, to $2.7 million from $6.7 million for the year ended December 31, 2013. The decline in revenue in fiscal 2014 was a result of decline in revenue across all of business. The main reason was continuously weakening brand recognition in the main targeted market and increased competition from new competitors who entered into this market during the year 2014. In addition, in the middle of 2014, the local government in Harbin announced policies prohibiting teachers of public schools from engaging in any tutoring/training classes outside of public schools. Tianlang, with all of its teachers being public school teachers, had to cut its class offerings dramatically, which directly affected revenue for the training center division. Net loss attributable to shareholders was $37.4 million, or negative return of $3.53 per share basic and diluted, for fiscal 2014, as compared to net loss attributable to shareholders of $24.7 million or negative return of $2.33 per share basic and diluted, for fiscal 2013. Loss from operations was $35.9 million against $23.0 million a year ago. Net loss before provision for income tax was $39.0 million against $25.6 million a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was $31.7 million against $16.2 million a year ago. Purchases of property and equipment were $1.6 million against $0.9 million a year ago. As of December 31, 2014, the company had no long-term debt.

China Education Alliance Receives Non-Compliance Notice From OTC Markets Group

On November 18, 2014, China Education Alliance, Inc. received a letter from the OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTC), notifying the Company that the Company’s common stock was subject to removal from the OTCQX U.S. because the bid price for the Company’s common stock had closed below $0.10 for more than 30 consecutive calendar days and no longer met the Standards for Continued Qualification for OTCQX U.S. as per OTCQX Rules for U.S. Companies section 3.2 (b). The OTC informed the Company that pursuant to OTCQX Rules, the Company had been granted 180 calendar days in which to regain compliance with the said section 3.2 (b). The grace period to regain compliance expires May 17, 2015.
