Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. manufactures and distributes light duty vehicle catalysts and heavy duty diesel emissions control systems and products to automakers, distributors, integrators, and retrofitters in the United States, Canada, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. It operates through two divisions, Catalyst and Heavy Duty Diesel Systems. The Catalyst division develops and produces catalysts to reduce emissions from gasoline, diesel, and natural gas combustion engines. This division’s products include catalysts for gasoline and diesel engines, as well as for energy applications. The Heavy Duty Diesel Systems division designs and manufactures verified exhaust emissions control solutions. This division’s products comprise diesel particulate filters, diesel oxidation catalysts, closed crankcase ventilation systems, alternative fuel products, and other components. This division markets its regenerating diesel particulate filters under the Purifilter, Combifilter, Purifier, Actifilter, Cattrap, and DuraFit brand names. The company markets and sells its products through a network of dealers and distributors, as well as directly to original equipment manufacturers. Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Oxnard, California.

Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. Launches Commercialization Program with AP Exhaust Technologies

Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. announced it has launched a commercialization program with AP Exhaust Technologies, Inc. The collaboration is CDTi's next step in bringing to market its latest catalyst technologies, which include MPC®, BMARS™ and Spinel™, across portions of AP's extensive aftermarket catalytic converter product line. The initial drive to commercialization will target the North American aftermarket for light duty replacement catalytic converters and is designed to achieve large-scale, rapid commercialization of CDTi's advanced catalyst technologies. AP expects enhanced performance and cost savings from CDTi's technology. The companies' plan involves a powder-to-coat business model whereby CDTi would sell AP enabling proprietary catalytic powders that AP would precision coat onto catalytic converter substrates in AP's coating facility in Indiana. The collaboration will leverage in-kind funding by both companies for engineering studies, vehicle testing, regulatory certifications and potential commercial launches. Given these mutual commitments, first sales could occur during 2015.

They may also use a portion of the net proceeds to acquire or invest in businesses, products and technologies that are complementary to their current business, although we have no present commitments or agreements for any such transactions.

Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. Introduces Base-Metal Activated Rhodium Support (BMARSTM) Technology

Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. announced that it has introduced a new leg of its advanced materials platform: Base-Metal Activated Rhodium Support (BMARSTM) technology. Initial test results demonstrate that in a typical two-catalyst configuration using a close-coupled (CC) and an underfloor (UF) catalyst, BMARS, with 50% less PGM, outperformed the OEM catalyst system on a popular passenger car. In addition, the BMARS CC catalyst alone outperformed the OEM CC+UF system. This offers OEMs the prospect of eliminating the UF catalyst unit altogether while achieving a greater than 50% PGM cost reduction on the remaining CC catalyst unit, resulting in an overall potential cost savings of over $200 per vehicle.
