CD International Enterprises, Inc. sources, produces, and distributes industrial products in Asia and the Americas. It operates through two segments, Basic Materials and Consulting. The Basic Materials segment sells and distributes basic resources; and purchases and sells industrial commodities, such as mineral ores and non-ferrous metals. The Consulting segment provides business and financial consulting services to public and private companies. This segment offers its consulting services in the areas of general business, Chinese regulatory advice, translation services, formation of entities in the People’s Republic of China, coordination of professional resources, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and partnerships, advice on effective means of accessing U.S. capital markets, coordination of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and corporate asset evaluations, as well as in identifying potential areas of growth, translation services, managing and coordinating necessary government approvals and licenses, marketing services, investor relations services, and coordination of the preparation of required SEC filings. The company was formerly known as China Direct Industries, Inc. and changed its name to CD International Enterprises, Inc. in February 2012. CD International Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

CD International Enterprises, Inc. entered into a Share Exchange Agreement to acquire a 100% ownership interest in EM Resources Enterprises, Inc. from EM's sole shareholder Mr. Manuel Mustafa. As part of the acquisition, the company entered into an Employment Agreement with Mr. Manual Mustafa, the president of EM, appointing Mr. Mustafa as a director of the company and President of CDII Minerals, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. Mr. Mustafa is currently the president of EM. Mr. Mustafa has served as the CEO and Chairman of EM Resource Enterprises Inc. since July 2010.
