CCL Industries Inc., a specialty packaging company, develops label solutions. The company operates through three segments: Label, Avery, and Container. The Label segment principally offers pressure sensitive, shrink sleeve, stretch sleeve, in-mould, precision printed, die cut metal components, and expanded content labels; and pharmaceutical instructional leaflets to consumer product marketing companies in the personal and beauty care, food and beverage, household, chemical, and promotional segments, as well as to pharmaceutical, healthcare, durable goods, and industrial chemical companies. This segment also provides extruded plastic tubes, folded instructional leaflets, printed and die cut metal components with LED displays, and other complementary products and services. The Avery segment supplies printable media, including address labels, shipping labels, marketing and product identification labels, indexes and dividers, business cards, and name badges and specialty media labels, as well as customized software solutions. This segment also offers binders, sheet protectors, and writing instruments under the Avery and Zweckform brands. The Container segment manufactures extruded aluminum aerosol containers for the personal care and homecare markets; bottles for beverage customers; and other specialty products, such as piston activated aerosol cans, aluminum caulking cartridges, and refrigeration cans. It operates in Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, China, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, the Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam. CCL Industries Inc. was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

CCL Industries Inc. announced that it has signed a binding agreement to build a new manufacturing plant for in-mould-labels (“IML”) in Memphis, Tennessee, in partnership with Korsini-SAAF. CCL Industries Inc. Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015

CCL Industries Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported sales increased 15.8% to CAD 705.9 million, compared to CAD 609.7 million for the first quarter of 2014, with 5.5% organic growth, 4.3% positive currency translation impact and 6.0% from the seven acquisitions completed over the previous fourteen months. Operating income was CAD 117.1 million, an increase of 32.2% compared to CAD 88.6 million for the comparable quarter of 2014. Excluding the impact of currency translation operating income improved 28.3%. Net earnings improved 29.5% to CAD 68.1 million compared to CAD 52.6 million for the 2014 first quarter. Basic and adjusted basic earnings per class B share were a record CAD 1.97 and CAD 1.99, respectively, compared to basic and adjusted basic earnings per class B share of CAD 1.54 and CAD 1.56 in the prior year first quarter. Earnings before income tax were CAD 97,001,000 against CAD 74,732,000 a year ago. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the company was CAD 68,146,000 against CAD 52,562,000 a year ago. Cash provided by operating activities was CAD 47,313,000 against CAD 27,064,000 a year ago. Additions to property, plant and equipment was CAD 56,665,000 against CAD 59,878,000 a year ago. EBITDA was CAD 143.1 million against CAD 117.8 million a year ago. Net debt was CAD 535.5 million.
