Carraro S.p.A., together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and markets drive systems in Italy, other European countries, North and South America, Asia, and other non-European countries. The company operates through three segments: Carraro Drive Tech, Carraro Divisione Agritalia, and Elettronica Santerno. It offers transmission systems, including axles, transmissions, and planetary drives for construction equipment, agricultural tractors, fork-lift trucks, light commercial vehicles, mining applications, automobiles, and stationary applications, as well as markets various components and gears for the automobile sector, agricultural and construction applications, material handling applications, gardening and powertools sectors, and wind power generators. The company also provides special tractors for third-party brands; and engineering and production outsourcing services for tractor market. In addition, it offers inverters for the management of power electronics applied to various industrial sectors; and electronic power converters for renewable energy sources. The company was founded in 1932 and is headquartered in Campodarsego, Italy. Carraro S.p.A. is a subsidiary of Finaid S.p.A.

For the period, on consolidated basis, the company reported revenues from sales of EUR 727,757,000 against EUR 871,936,000 a year ago, this decline was mainly due to market contraction in the second half of the year for about EUR 88 million, the sale of Mini Gears operations for EUR 45 million, and foreign exchange losses of approximately EUR 8 million. EBIT was EUR 12,106,000 against EUR 31,222,000 a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 38,763,000 against EUR 61,544,000 a year ago. Loss before tax was EUR 4,970,000 against profit before tax of EUR 12,748,000 a year ago. Net loss was EUR 7,913,000 against net profit of EUR 1,290,000 a year ago. For the period, on company basis, the company reported revenues from sales of EUR 112,958,000 against EUR 113,431,000 a year ago. LBIT was EUR 4,178,000 against EUR 2,532,000 a year ago. LBITDA was EUR 1,049,000 against EBITDA of EUR 718,000 a year ago. Loss before tax was EUR 8,190,000 against EUR 4,338,000 a year ago. Net loss was EUR 6,497,000 against EUR 3,214,000 a year ago. For the year 2015, the company expects sales volumes to remain largely stable, while there may be opportunities for a rebound in demand in some specific business areas.
