Canadian Apartment Properties REIT (TSX:CAR.UN) is looking for acquisition opportunities. Scott Cryer, Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Apartment Properties said, "With the completion of our March 2015 equity financing, our liquidity position stood at approximately CAD 240 million on March 31, 2015, providing continuing long-term liquidity and the resources for future acquisitions of approximately CAD 800 million, all while maintaining a conservative debt ratios."

Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported operating revenues of $128.954 million compared to $126.533 million a year ago. Net operating income was $74.824 million compared to $71.375 million a year ago period. Net income was $52.867 million against $45.333 million a year ago period. Cash provided by operating activities was $59.222 million against $68.444 million a year ago period. Capital investments were $27.641 million against $43,533 million a year ago. FFO was $40,461,000 against $42,078,000 a year ago period. NFFO was $43.719 million or $0.387 per diluted share against $42.914 million or $0.390 per diluted share a year ago period. AFFO was $40.970 million or $0.362 per diluted share against $39,880 million or $0.362 per diluted share a year ago period. For the three months ended March 31, 2015, total operating revenues increased by 1.9% compared to the same period last year due primarily to the contribution from acquisitions and increased occupancies and average monthly rents. For the full 2015 year, the company expects to complete property capital investments of approximately $145 million to $155 million, including approximately $44 million targeted at acquisitions completed since January 1, 2011 and approximately $15 million in high-efficiency boilers and other energy-saving initiatives.
