CAPREIT Announces Monthly Cash Dividend Payable on April 15, 2015

CAPREIT intends to make monthly cash distributions to Unitholders of record on each record date, on or about the fifteenth day of the month following the record date. CAPREIT’s current monthly cash distribution is $0.09833 per unit. The first cash distribution to which purchasers of the units under this Offering will be entitled to participate will be for the month of March, with a record date of March 31, 2015 and a payment date of April 15, 2015.

Canadian Apartment Properties Seeks Acquisitions

Canadian Apartment Properties REIT (TSX:CAR.UN) agreed to sell, subject to regulatory approval, 5.1 million units for CAD 27.85 per unit for aggregate gross proceeds of CAD 140.6 million to a syndicate of underwriters led by RBC Capital Markets on a bought-deal basis. Canadian Apartment intends to use the net proceeds of this offering //st first to repay approximately CAD 134 million owing under Canadian Apartment’s acquisition and operating facility, which was utilized by Canadian Apartment to, among other uses, partially fund previous acquisitions completed since January 2015 with aggregate acquisition costs of CAD 158 million and the remainder, if any, for future acquisitions, capital expenditures and for general trust purposes..

Canadian Apartment Properties REIT Completes Acquisition of Property in Edmonton

Canadian Apartment Properties REIT announced that it has completed the acquisition of a 126-suite mid-tier apartment property in Edmonton, Alberta for a purchase price (excluding transaction costs) of $31.0 million. The purchase of the property was funded from CAPREIT's Acquisition and Operating credit facility. The property, Grandin Tower, is a newly-renovated twelve-storey high rise building located close to Edmonton's downtown core.
