CAE Inc. provides simulation and modeling technologies, and integrated training services primarily to the civil aviation industry and defense forces worldwide. The company’s Simulation Products/Civil segment designs, manufactures, and supplies civil flight simulation equipment, integrated training procedures trainers, flight training devices, and Web-based e-learning tools for regional commercial airlines, third-party training centers, and original equipment manufacturers, as well as provides various support services comprising emergency support, simulator updates and upgrades, maintenance services, and simulator relocations. Its Training & Services/Civil segment provides business, commercial, and helicopter aviation training services for flight, cabin, maintenance and ground personnel, and ab initio and pilot training, and crew sourcing services to regional airlines, helicopter operators, and general and business aviation markets. The company’s Simulation Products/Military segment offers military training equipment and software tools for fast jets, helicopters, trainer aircraft, and maritime patrol and tanker/transport aircraft, as well as provides simulation-based solutions for land and naval forces. Its Training & Services/Military segment supplies turnkey training services, simulation-based integrated enterprise solutions, and maintenance and in-service support solutions. The company’s New Core Markets segment offers healthcare simulation solutions, including patient simulators, surgical and imaging simulators, ultrasound simulators and task trainers, learning applications/courseware, and centre management systems; and provides technology and services for managing exploration and geological data, mine strategy, optimization, design and scheduling for mining methods and commodities. The company was formerly known as CAE Industries Ltd. and changed its name to CAE Inc. in June 1993. CAE Inc. was founded in 1947 and is headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Canada.

CAE Signs Business Aviation Training Contracts with Elit'Avia and IJM

CAE Inc. has signed business aviation training contracts with Elit'Avia Limited and International Jet Management GmbH, or IJM. The agreements include a three-year exclusive agreement with Elit'Avia and a four-year exclusive agreement with International Jet Management on 14 different aircraft types. Elit'Avia and International Jet Management are new customers to CAE. Training on 14 aircraft types including models for Bombardier, Dassault, and Gulfstream will be conducted in CAE training centers in Dubai, UAE; London, UK and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

CAE Inc. Wins Contracts Valued at More Than CAD 120 Million for Eight Full-Flight Simulators and Training Services

CAE announced that it has sold eight full-flight simulators (FFSs) to customers in Australia, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The contracts include the sale of: One Bombardier Challenger 604 simulator to Cobham Aviation Services of Australia. One Airbus A320 simulator for Uzbekistan Airways. One Boeing 787-9 simulator to Air China. One Boeing B737-800W and one Gulfstream 650 FFS to Emirates-CAE Flight Training. Two B737NG simulators to Ryanair. CAE also signed a new pilot training services agreement with Ryanair to support the airline’s order of 185 Boeing 737-800. One Boeing 737NG simulator to an undisclosed airline. The contracts are worth a total of more than CAD 120 million at list prices, and bring the total number of FFS sales announced in fiscal year 2015 to 31.

CAE Inc., Delivers First UH-72A Flight Training Device to US Army

CAE Inc. has delivered the first UH-72A flight training device, or FTD, to the US Army, which will be located at the US Army's Aviation Center of Excellence, or USAACE, at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. Under subcontract to Airbus Defense & Space, CAE designed and manufactured the UH-72A FTD, which is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Level 6-capable FTD that features an aircraft-specific cockpit with the fidelity and performance of a full-flight simulator without the motion.
