CAE Inc. provides simulation and modeling technologies, and integrated training services primarily to the civil aviation industry and defense forces worldwide. The company’s Simulation Products/Civil segment designs, manufactures, and supplies civil flight simulation equipment, integrated training procedures trainers, flight training devices, and Web-based e-learning tools for regional commercial airlines, third-party training centers, and original equipment manufacturers, as well as provides various support services comprising emergency support, simulator updates and upgrades, maintenance services, and simulator relocations. Its Training & Services/Civil segment provides business, commercial, and helicopter aviation training services for flight, cabin, maintenance and ground personnel, and ab initio and pilot training, and crew sourcing services to regional airlines, helicopter operators, and general and business aviation markets. The company’s Simulation Products/Military segment offers military training equipment and software tools for fast jets, helicopters, trainer aircraft, and maritime patrol and tanker/transport aircraft, as well as provides simulation-based solutions for land and naval forces. Its Training & Services/Military segment supplies turnkey training services, simulation-based integrated enterprise solutions, and maintenance and in-service support solutions. The company’s New Core Markets segment offers healthcare simulation solutions, including patient simulators, surgical and imaging simulators, ultrasound simulators and task trainers, learning applications/courseware, and centre management systems; and provides technology and services for managing exploration and geological data, mine strategy, optimization, design and scheduling for mining methods and commodities. The company was formerly known as CAE Industries Ltd. and changed its name to CAE Inc. in June 1993. CAE Inc. was founded in 1947 and is headquartered in Saint-Laurent, Canada.

CAE Inc. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Fourth Quarter and Full Year Ended March 31, 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal Year 2016

CAE Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of CAD 631.6 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015, representing a 10% increase from the fourth quarter last year. Operating profit was up 22% to CAD 105.4 million and operating margin expanded 160 basis points to 16.7% from the fourth quarter last year. Net income attributable to equity holders from continuing operations was CAD 63.3 million or CAD 0.24 per share, up 6% from the same period last year. Free cash flow was positive CAD 142.2 million for the fourth quarter up from CAD 108.3 million in the fourth quarter last year. Capital expenditures totaled CAD 40.7 million. For the year, the company reported revenue was CAD 2.2 billion, an increase of 8% from fiscal year 2014. Operating profit increased 15% to CAD 332.8 million, resulting in an operating profit margin expansion of 90 basis points to 14.8% from fiscal year 2014. Net income attributable to equity holders from continuing operations was CAD 201.2 million or CAD 0.76 per share, up 7% compared to last year. Net cash provided by continuing operating activities was CAD 268.6 million. Net cash provided by continuing operating activities after deducting net cash used in investing activities was CAD 89.8 million, up 9% from the prior year. Capital expenditures totaled CAD 144.2 million for the year. Growth capital expenditures represented two-thirds of the annual total, and maintenance capital expenditures the remainder. Annual capital expenditures were 8% lower than the CAD 157.0 million the year prior. Net debt was CAD 949.6 million as at March 31, 2015, compared to CAD 971.7 million as at December 31, 2014 decreasing net debt-to-total capital ratio to 36.3%. For fiscal 2016, the company expects growth for the year across all business segments, with performance continuing to follow company's usual seasonal pattern, involving a stronger second half of the fiscal year than the first. The company expects total capital expenditures to be substantially lower again in fiscal 2016 at approximately CAD 100 million.

CAE Inc. Wins Contract from Southwest Airlines to Provide 10 Visual Systems

CAE Inc. has won a contract from Southwest Airlines Company to provide 10 CAE Tropos 6000XR visual systems. Southwest's training centre in Dallas, Texas will update all its simulators to CAE-built visual systems starting in mid-2015.
