The Direct segment sells products through its e-commerce Websites, such as Cabelas.com and Cabelas.ca, as well as direct mail catalogs. The Financial Services segment issues Cabela’s CLUB Visa credit card, a reward based credit card program; and certificates of deposits, as well as underwrites credit statistics. It offers its Cabela’s CLUB Visa credit cards through various channels comprising Website, retail stores, inbound telemarketing, and catalogs. The company’s product portfolio includes hunting equipment, such as firearms, ammunition, optics, archery products, and related accessories and supplies; and clothing and footwear products comprise fieldwear apparel and footwear, sportswear apparel and footwear, and workwear products, as well as casual apparel and footwear. It also offers a range of equipment and accessories for various outdoor activities comprising fishing and tackle products, boats, electronics, marine accessories and equipment, camping gears and equipment, food preparation and outdoor cooking products, gifts and home furnishings, all-terrain vehicles and accessories, and compact tractors and tractor attachments. As of July 31, 2015, it operated 71 stores in North America. Cabela’s Incorporated was founded in 1961 and is headquartered in Sidney, Nebraska.

Cabela's Incorporated to Open New Locations in Summerville and Greater Charleston Area

Cabela's Incorporated has announced plans to open new locations in Summerville, South Carolina, and the greater Charleston area. Cabela's expects construction on the 82,000-square-foot store to begin in 2015, and anticipates a fall 2016 opening. It will be located in Nexton, near Interstate 26 and Highway 17A, between Exit 199 and the new Exit 197. MeadWestvaco is the developer. "Cabela's has been interested in Summerville and the greater Charleston area for some time now. Cabela's expects to employ approximately 175 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees at the store, most of who will come from Summerville and the surrounding area. Upon opening, it will become the third Cabela's location in South Carolina, joining the Greenville store opened in 2014 and the Fort Mill location opened in March. The store will be built in the company's new-format layout, designed to offer customers an immersive outdoor experience with log construction, stonework, a mountain replica, dozens of wildlife displays and museum-quality taxidermy mounts, vintage outdoor photos and memorabilia, hand-painted murals, an aquarium and an indoor archery range. Additionally, the store will include a cafe, fudge shop, Gun Library, Bargain Cave, boat shop, service center and Cabela's Wildlife and Land Management product offering, along with thousands of quality outdoor products. Furthermore, the store's staff will host educational seminars and demonstrations, offering tips and insights on outdoor products and seasonal activities.

Cabela's Incorporated announced that, for the third quarter, the company expects to open stores in Noblesville, Indiana; West Chester Ohio and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. And in the fourth quarter, the company plans to open the final 3 stores for the year in Huntsville, Alabama; Bristol, Virginia; and Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Income before provision for income taxes was $60,827,000 against $67,391,000 a year ago. Net income was $40,057,000 or $0.56 per basic and diluted share against $43,517,000 or $0.61 per diluted share a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was $641,000 against $72,632,000 a year ago. Non-GAAP income before provision for income taxes was $641,000 against $68,032,000 a year ago. Non-GAAP net income was $416,000 against $43,933,000 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was $1,663,352,000 against $1,487,024,000 a year ago. Operating income was $107,923,000 against $112,844,000 a year ago. Income before provision for income taxes was $103,326,000 against $106,661,000 a year ago. Net income was $66,831,000 or $0.93 per diluted share against $69,266,000 or $0.96 per diluted share a year ago. Non-GAAP operating income was $109,130,000 against $113,485,000 a year ago. Non-GAAP income before provision for income taxes was $104,533,000 against $107,302,000 a year ago. For the quarter, net charge-offs on credit card loans was $19,337,000 against $15,864,000 a year ago. The company reaffirms expectations for a low-double-digit growth rate in revenue and a high-single to low-double-digit growth rate in diluted earnings per share for full-year 2015 as compared to full-year 2014 non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $2.88. The company expects full year 2015 capital expenditures to be between $425 million and $475 million. Cash flows from operations is expected to be between $275 million and $325 million. Full year 2015 tax rate is expected to be between 35.5% and 36.5%. The company expects third quarter 2015 diluted earnings per share to be approximately $0.05 to $0.10 lower than the third quarter 2014 non-GAAP diluted earnings per share of $0.81.
