BayWa Aktiengesellschaft provides wholesale, retail, logistics, and support and consultancy services in the agriculture, building materials, and energy sectors in Germany and internationally. The company operates through three segments: Agriculture, Energy, and Building Materials. The Agriculture segment trades in agricultural resources, such as seeds, fertilizers, and crop protection and feedstuff products; collects, stores, and sells harvested produce; and supplies dessert and organic pome fruits, as well as collects, sorts, packages, and trades fruits. This segment also offers agricultural machinery, equipment, and facilities; municipal vehicles, road sweeping vehicles, mobile facilities for wood shredding, and forklift trucks; forestry tractors, wood splitting and chipping machinery, forest milling cutters and mulchers, cable winches, and road and path construction machinery; and appliances, such as chainsaws, brush cutters, and protective clothing. In addition, it operates a network of workshops; and mobile service vehicles to provide maintenance and repair services, supply replacement parts, and trade in used machinery, as well as sells used machinery through online platform. The Energy segment sells heating oil, diesel and otto fuel, lubricants, and wood pellets to commercial and private customers; and plans, builds, and sells turnkey wind power, photovoltaic, and biomas plants; and owns wind and biogas plants, as well as trades in photovoltaic components. This segment operates a network of approximately 244 fuel stations. The Building Materials segment trades in building materials for small and mid-sized companies, tradesmen, commercial enterprises, and municipalities, as well as private building companies and house owners. This segment also provides support to franchise partners in the building materials trade, as well as operates DIY and garden centers. BayWa Aktiengesellschaft was founded in 1923 and is headquartered in Munich, Germany.

BayWa AG reported earnings results for 2014. The company reported revenues of EUR 15.2 billion in the financial year 2014 against 2013 of EUR 16 billion. Including non-operating influence factors, EBIT totaled EUR 147 million against 2013 of EUR 222 million. This major difference to the previous year's EBIT is primarily due to one-off effects in 2013 resulting from accounting profits from major property sales.

BayWa AG to Form Joint Venture with Barloworld

BayWa AG has agreed to form a 50:50 joint venture (JV) with Barloworld Ltd. to supply agricultural equipment in Sub-Saharan Africa. The JV is to commence operations in Zambia in mid-2015.

BayWa AG Proposes to Raise Dividend for 2014

The Board of BayWa AG will put forward to the Supervisory Board a proposal to raise the dividend for 2014 from EUR 0.75 to EUR 0.80 per share in keeping with BayWa's policy of consistent dividend development. This would correspond to an increase of 7%, thereby doubling the dividend since 2009.
