BM&FBOVESPA S.A. organizes, develops, and operates free and open securities markets for spot and future settlements in Brazil. It operates through BM&F, Bovespa, and Institutional and Corporate Products segments. The BM&F segment offers trading and settlement of securities and contracts consisting of trading systems, including electronic trading and trading through Internet; recording, clearing, and settlement systems; and custodian systems for agribusiness securities, gold, and other assets. This segment also trades in commodities, foreign exchange, and public debt, and services provided by BM&FBOVESPA Bank. The Bovespa segment provides services at various stages of the trading cycle, such as fixed and variable income, and equity securities on the stock and over the counter (OTC) markets; and manages the national stock exchange and OTC market for trading of variable income securities, including stocks, stock receipts, Brazilian depository receipts, stock derivatives, subscription warrants, various types of closed-end investment fund shares, shares representing audiovisual investment certificates, non-standard options to purchase and sell securities, and other securities authorized by the Brazilian Securities Commission. The Institutional and Corporate Products segment offers services, such as depository of securities, as well as lending and listing of securities; data services and classification of commodities; and technological products. The company is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil.

BM&F Bovespa SA Announces Consolidated Earnings Results for First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015; Provides CapEx Guidance for the Years 2015 and 2016

BM&F Bovespa SA announced consolidated earnings results for first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported total revenues of BRL 577,301,000, operating income of BRL 299,022,000, income before taxes of BRL 407,495,000, net income from continued operations of BRL 279,748,000, net income attributable to company's shareholders of BRL 279,476,000 or BRL 0.155116 earnings per share, adjusted net income of BRL 391,316,000 or BRL 0.21719 earnings per share compared to the total revenues of BRL 544,931,000, operating income of BRL 303,823,000, income before taxes of BRL 401,767,000, net income from continued operations of BRL 256,444,000, net income attributable to company's shareholders of BRL 256,265,000 or BRL 0.138336 Earnings per share, adjusted net income of BRL 375,379,000 or BRL 0.202734 earnings per share, for the same quarter a year ago. In the first quarter of 2015, net revenues grew by 5.9% in comparison with the same period last year. This was caused mainly by volume decreases in revenues from derivatives and from other business lines not connected to volumes. The company reported 28.9% increase in the financial results mainly as a consequence of higher interest rates in Brazil. Adjusted net income grew by 4.2% while adjusted earnings per share increased 7.1%. The difference between these 2 growth rates reflect the execution of share buyback program from January 2014 through March 2015. The CapEx executed for the quarter reached BRL 42.4 million. For the year 2015, the company expects to invest between BRL 200 million and BRL 230 million in CapEx, and then in 2016, between BRL 165 million and BRL 195 million.
