Bodycote plc provides thermal processing services worldwide. The company operates in two business areas, Aerospace, Defence & Energy; and Automotive & General Industrial. It offers heat treatment services, including carbonitriding, atmospheric carburizing, nitrocarburising, Corr-I-Dur, neutral hardening, press quenching, ageing, and annealing/normalizing services to alter the microstructure of materials, such as metals and alloys to impart properties; and metal joining services comprising electron beam welding, furnace and inducing brazing, hot isostatic pressing (HIP) diffusion bonding, hydrogen brazing, and vacuum and honeycomb brazing services to fuse metals. The company also provides surface technologies, which are used to prolong the working life of components and protect from environmental factors, such as corrosion and abrasion. Its surface technologies include anodising, ceramic coatings, combustion and flame spraying, specialized plasma spray, high velocity oxygen fuel, and thermochemically formed coatings treatments. It serves aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, general industrial, and HIP markets. The company was founded in 1923 and is headquartered in Macclesfield, the United Kingdom.

Bodycote Expands Service Offerings and Capacity at Two Locations in Houston

Bodycote plc has expanded the service offerings and capacity at two of its locations in Houston, Texas. Additional capabilities at Bodycote's north Houston facility (5151 World Houston Parkway) provide customers with a wider selection of processes to extend the working life of components, in addition to the coating solutions it currently offers. In the third quarter, new offerings will include nitriding, vacuum heat treatment and vacuum brazing, which provide customers with comprehensive and efficient services from a single facility. Furthermore, Bodycote is investing in more capacity at its second Houston location (1301 Hays Street). Together, these enhancements ensure that Bodycote's customers experience better service, superior quality and faster turnaround time. The company continues to play a vital role in the area's oil & gas, power generation and general industrial supply chains.

Bodycote Reports Revenue Results for the First Quarter of 2015

Bodycote reported revenue results for the first quarter of 2015. For the quarter, the company posted a slight decline in revenue, down by 0.9% to £151.6 million. Revenues in its aerospace, defence and energy business grew by 3.2% compared with the first quarter of last year, while the automotive and general industrial operation saw a 3.9% fall.
