Boliden AB (publ.), a metals company, is engaged in exploring, mining, smelting, and recycling metals. The company operates in two segments, Smelters and Mines. It produces zinc, copper, lead, gold, and silver metals; sulphur products, including sulphuric acid and liquid sulphur dioxide; copper, lead, zinc, palladium, and gravimetric concentrates; aluminium fluoride and synthetic anhydrite; and by-products, such as zinc clinker, waste rock, selenium, copper telluride, iron sand, and nickel sulphate. The company operates underground and open-pit mines in Garpenberg, the Boliden Area, and Aitik in Sweden; and the Tara mine in Ireland. It is also involved in recycling electronic scrap, metal scrap, used lead batteries, copper and precious metals, and nickel concentrate to produce pure metals and customized alloys. The company sells its metals and by-products to steel companies and other manufacturers of semi-finished products, as well as to base metal dealers and metal stocks in Sweden, rest of the Nordic region, Germany, the United Kingdom, the rest of Europe, North America, and internationally. Boliden AB (publ.) is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.

Boliden AB announced consolidated and parent earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter on consolidated basis, the company reported revenues of SEK 9,614 million against SEK 8,653 million a year ago. Operating profit was SEK 1,158 million against SEK 486 million a year ago. Profit after financial items was SEK 1,090 million against SEK 421 million a year ago. Net profit attributable to holders of the company was SEK 836 million against SEK 387 million a year ago. Earnings per share were SEK 3.06 against SEK 1.42 a year ago. Acquisition of intangible fixed assets was SEK 1 million against SEK 7 million a year ago. Acquisition of tangible fixed assets was SEK 999 million against SEK 1,287 million a year ago. Cash flow from operations was SEK 2,082 million against SEK 1,089 million a year ago For the full year on consolidated basis, the company reported revenues of SEK 36,891 million against SEK 34,409 million a year ago. The increase was due to a stronger USD, higher zinc prices, and higher sales volume for copper. Net profit attributable to holders of the company was SEK 1,897 million against SEK 1,291 million a year ago. Earnings per share were SEK 6.94 against SEK 4.72 a year ago. Shareholders’ equity per share was SEK 87.63. Net debt was SEK 8,283 million. Cash flow from operations was SEK 5,789 million against SEK 3,505 million a year ago. Acquisition of intangible fixed assets was SEK 9 million against SEK 16 million a year ago. Acquisition of tangible fixed assets was SEK 3,482 million against SEK 4,954 million a year ago. Return on shareholders’ equity was 8% against 6% a year ago. On parent basis for the full year, the company reported profit of SEK 451 million against SEK 2,442 million a year ago.
