Bollore engages in the transportation and logistics, media and communications, and electricity storage solutions businesses in France and internationally. The company operates through four segments: Transportation and Logistics, Oil Logistics, Communications, and Electricity Storage and Solutions. It provides identification, labelling, packaging, order preparation, and redistribution services; offers shipping agency, and freight and transshipment services; supplies domestic fuel and other petroleum products to household and business customers; operates oil pipelines and depots; and organizes sea and air transport networks. The company also offers advertising, media buying, digital media, direct marketing, corporate communication, sales promotion, design, human resources, sports marketing, interactive multimedia communication, and public relations services; provides wireless high-speed Internet services; operates Mac-Mahon movie theater in Paris; and publishes Direct Matin, a daily newspaper. In addition, it provides lithium metal polymer batteries; super capacitors; polypropylene films; electrical components; and electric buses and cars, as well as constructs infrastructures, such as lighting, power transmission, rail transportation, etc. Further, the company operates oil palm and rubber plantations in Cameroon and the United States; wine-growing estates in France; distributes and warehouses oil products; manages financial assets; and offers control equipment for road tolls, metros, trains, and airports, as well as IT solutions. Additionally, it designs, manufactures, and markets self-service terminals for air, rail, and sea travel networks, as well as for ticketing and consultation networks; and designs, develops, and integrates identification, traceability, and mobility solutions for logistic operators, industry, and retailers. The company was founded in 1822 and is headquartered in Puteaux, France. Bollore operates as a subsidiary of Financiere de l’Odet.

Bollore Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year 2014; Proposes Dividend for the Year 2014

Bollore reported its net income for 2014 dropped to EUR 219 million (USD 234 million) from EUR 270 million in 2013 after its oil logistics business was hit by the oil prices crisis. Consolidated revenue totalled EUR 10.604 billion, down 1.6% like-for-like on the year. Revenue from the group's transportation and logistics, and communications business increased 4.5% and 4.9%, respectively, while revenue of the oil logistics business slumped 15.5%. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went up 7% to EUR 1.022 billion, and operating profit came in at EUR 650 million, up 7%. The board of directors will propose a dividend of EUR 0.06 per share, compared with EUR 0.031 paid out for 2013.
