Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. operates in the dredging, offshore energy, and maritime sectors worldwide. It operates through three segments: Dredging & Inland Infra, Offshore Energy, and Towage & Salvage. The Dredging & Inland Infra segment engages in the construction and maintenance of ports and waterways; and provides land reclamation, coastal defense, and riverbank protection services, as well as associated specialist services, such as underwater rock fragmentation. This segment also extracts raw materials using dredging techniques; designs, prepares, and executes civil infra works comprising the construction of roads and railroads, bridges, dams, viaducts, and tunnels; and performs specialist works consisting of soil improvement and land remediation. The Offshore Energy segment is involved in the development, construction, maintenance, and decommissioning of oil and liquefied natural gas import/export facilities, offshore platforms, pipelines and cables, and offshore wind farms. This segment also offers heavy transport, lift and installation work, diving and remotely operated vehicle services, as well as dredging, offshore pipeline, cable and rock installation, and offshore cable installation services. The Towage & Salvage segment offers harbor towage services to incoming and outgoing oceangoing vessels; and onshore and offshore terminal services, such as vessels berthing and unberthing, pilotage, subsea inspection, repair and maintenance, terminal connections coupling and uncoupling, firefighting, escorting, crew and cargo transportation, and bunker vessels operation services. This segment also provides emergency response, salvage, and wreck removal services. The company serves oil, gas, and power, as well as shipping, insurance, and mining companies; port operators; governments; and international project developers. It operates a fleet of 1,000 vessels and equipment. The company was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Papendrecht, the Netherlands.

Boskalis Wins Contract for Portsmouth Access Channel Expansion in United Kingdom

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has been awarded a contract from the Defence Infrastructure Organisation of the Ministry of Defence for the capital dredging of the approach channel to the port of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom. The contract has a value of approximately EUR 35 million and the activities are due to commence in the second half of 2015. The dredging activities are related to the deepening and widening of the 7 kilometer long approach channel. A total volume of approximately 3 million cubic meters of hard clay, sand and gravel will be removed over an 8 month period. For this project medium-sized trailing suction hopper dredgers along with backhoe dredgers will be deployed. Customized working methods and continuous monitoring will be applied in order to meet the stringent environmental requirements.

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) Wins EUR 75 Million Worth of Dredging Contracts in Africa

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has been awarded three dredging-related contracts on the African subcontinent with a combined value of approximately EUR 75 million. In Angola, Boskalis has been awarded a contract by Angola LNG Ltd. for dredging activities related to maintaining the access channel and turning basins of the Soyo LNG port. The project will be executed in joint venture and involves the removal of approximately 11 million cubic meters of sand and silt by medium-sized trailing suction hopper dredgers. Work is set to commence in the third quarter of 2015 and will be completed by the end of 2017. Boskalis also executed the initial capital dredging and reclamation works for this LNG port on behalf of Angola LNG Ltd. from early 2007 until mid-2009. For the construction of an iron ore terminal in the Gabonese port of Libreville, Boskalis has been awarded a contract by Gabon Special Economic Zone Mineral PORT S.A. for reclamation works and capital dredging. Boskalis will reclaim 45 hectares of land for the terminal and dredge a berthing area for bulk carriers. For this project a total volume of 3.2 million cubic meters of sand and silt will be dredged using medium-sized trailing suction hopper dredgers. The project is due to commence in the third quarter of 2015 with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2015. Furthermore, Boskalis signed a contract with Agence Nationale des Affaires Maritimes in Senegal for maintenance dredging in the Casamance river. This river serves as a fairway for vessels destined for the city of Zinguichor. Over a length of 65 kilometers a medium-sized trailing suction hopper dredger will remove a total of 1.5 million cubic meters of sand. This project will commence in July 2015 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

Royal Boskalis Westminster NV Approves Dividend, Payable on June 9, 2015; Appoints . Van Der Veer as Member of Supervisory Board

Royal Boskalis Westminster NV announced that at its held AGM, the shareholders approved a dividend of EUR 1.60 per share, unless the shareholder opts to receive a cash dividend. The dividend will be payable from June 9, 2015. Ex-dividend date is on May 14, 2015. The relevant option period will commence on 18 May 2015 and close on 1 June 2015. Mr. Van der Veer was appointed as a member of the Boskalis Supervisory Board at the AGM for a period of four years. Mr. J. van der Veer is the former CEO of Royal Dutch Shell plc.
