The company offers aggregates, ash, asphalt, blocks, bricks, ceiling tiles, cement, cement additives and dry mixes, concrete, cornice, and decorative concrete; and fiber cement, grout, hardwood timber cladding, insulation, jointing compounds, lime, metal components, oxides, pavers, plasterboard, plasterboard systems, plastering DIY, and plastering DIY bags. It also provides pool surfacing, quarry products, retaining walls, roof tiles, sand quarry, sand, sealers, plasters, stones, structural timber, timber decking, and timber flooring. In addition, the company is involved in the transport and property activities. It provides its products for the residential and non-residential construction, and the engineering and infrastructure markets. Boral Limited was founded in 1946 and is headquartered in Sydney, Australia.

Boral Ltd Reports Earnings Results for the Half Year Ended December 31, 2014; Provides Cash Flow Guidance for the Second Half of Fiscal 2015 and Capex Guidance for the Fiscal Year 2015

Boral Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the half year ended December 31, 2014. For the period, the company reported net profit of AUD 104.5 million, compared with a net loss of AUD 26.4 million a year earlier. Net profit before significant items rose 23.3% to AUD 111.5 million from AUD 90.4 million. Revenue from continuing operations eased 0.1% to AUD 2.213 billion from AUD 2.215 billion. Operating profit before significant items was up 12.8% to AUD 136.8 million from AUD 121.3 million. Basic earnings per share were 13.4 cents, against a loss of 3.4 cents, while basic earnings per share from continuing operations were 12.9 cents, up from 7.6 cents. EBITDA was AUD 290 million against AUD 307 million a year ago. EBIT was AUD 167 million against AUD 168 million a year ago. Profit after tax was AUD 112 million against AUD 90 million a year ago. Operating cash flow was AUD 115 million against AUD 231 million a year ago. Free cash flow was AUD 31 million against AUD 147 million a year ago. Capital expenditure was AUD 94 million against AUD 114 million a year ago. As on date, net debt was AUD 887 million against AUD 1,389 million for the same period a year ago. Return on equity was 5.5% against 4.3% a year ago. For the second half of fiscal 2015, the company expects free cash flow to improve For fiscal 2015, the company expects to see capital expenditure maintained below AUD 300 million. Effective tax rate is projected to be in the range of 20% to 25%, and company's interest expense will be lower than fiscal year 2014 as the benefits of lower debt continue to flow through.

Boral Plans Acquisitions

Boral Limited (ASX:BLD) is seeking acquisitions. Boral will scour North America for merger and acquisition possibilities. "Asia will grow larger simply with the market expanding, but in the US growth will probably involve mergers and acquisitions." Chief Executive Officer Mike Kane said.

Boral Limited Announces Fully Franked Interim Dividend, Payable on March 13, 2015

Boral Limited announced the fully franked interim dividend of 8.5 cents per share, up 21% on last year, the dividend will be paid on March 13, 2015.
