Royal BAM Group nv announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first half year ended June 30, 2015. For the first half year, the company reported revenue of EUR 3,515 million against EUR 3,382 million a year ago. Negative operating result was EUR 5.7 million against EUR 17.6 million a year ago. Result before tax was EUR 4.0 million against Negative result before tax of EUR 1.6 million a year ago. Result from continuing operations was EUR 4.7 million against negative result from continuing operations of EUR -6.2 million a year ago. Net result attributable to shareholders of the company was EUR 4.7 million or EUR 0.02 per basic and diluted share against negative net result attributable to shareholders of the company of EUR 6.6 million or EUR 0.02 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net cash outflow from ordinary operations was EUR 192.0 million against EUR 308.9 million a year ago. Net cash outflow from operating activities was EUR 267.9 million against EUR 423.7 million a year ago. Investments in non-current assets were EUR 39.3 million against EUR 42.5 million a year ago. Adjusted result before tax was EUR 19.6 million against EUR 4.6 million a year ago. Revenue was up by EUR 133 million (4%) compared to the first half of 2014, nearly all attributable to the favorable pound sterling in the UK. Revenue was down in Belgium and the Netherlands, and up in Germany, Ireland and International. The difference in adjusted result before tax is mainly attributable to a higher total adjusted result of the operational sectors in the first half of 2015 and includes benefits of approximately 25 million from the Back in Shape programme. These benefits were partly offset by results at some older projects, and under recovery of overheads due to volume shortfalls in the Netherlands and Belgium. This related partly to preserving capacity to deliver projects being won for execution after 2015, as well as project postponements. Results at both the investment sectors Property and PPP were down in the first half year 2015 due to lower divestment levels as anticipated. For the year 2015, the company is on course to deliver cost savings of at least EUR 100 million (annual run rate) and a reduction in trade working capital of at least EUR 300 million by year-end 2015. There will be a restructuring charge for Back in Shape of approximately EUR 30 million in 2015. The company expects the total group adjusted result before tax for the year 2015 to be higher than the level of 2014 (EUR 62.2 million), with a larger contribution coming from the operational sectors.
