The Construction segment is engaged in foundation engineering activities. It executes complex excavation pits, foundations for infrastructure projects and buildings, cut-off walls, and ground improvement, as well as involved in general construction activities, such as civil engineering, environmental engineering, project development, and remediation works. The Equipment segment develops and manufactures specialist foundation engineering and mining equipment; and heavy-duty drilling rigs, trench cutters, grab systems, vibrators, and deep drilling rigs, as well as the related tooling. This segment offers its products for foundations engineering sector, as well as for other under ground drilling operators, such as for mines, water wells, geothermal energy sources, and oil and gas extraction. The Resources segment provides products and services in the fields of water, energy, mineral resources, and environmental technology. BAUER Aktiengesellschaft was founded in 1790 and is headquartered in Schrobenhausen, Germany.

Bauer AG announced consolidated earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014. Net income attributable to shareholders for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014 was EUR 0.31 per share, compared to net loss attributable to shareholders of EUR 0.41 loss per share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2013. Consolidated revenues for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014 were EUR 404.35 million, compared to EUR 372.8 million for the same quarter ended September 30, 2013.

BAUER Aktiengesellschaft announced consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 2014. For the third-quarter, the company reported net profit of EUR 6 million after a loss of EUR 13.4 million a year earlier, despite the slow-down in the German building sector in the reporting period. Pretax profit came in at EUR 11.3 million after the loss of EUR 9.3 million a year earlier. Revenues rose to EUR 368.1 million from EUR 361.3 million a year earlier. For the nine months period, total group’s revenues are up 5.4% from EUR 1,103.9 million to EUR 1,163.2 million. EBIT increased substantially over this period, from EUR 12.6 million to EUR 38.3 million. EBITDA was EUR 105.9 million against EUR 80.6 million a year ago. A negative net result of EUR 5.0 million was recorded for the period EUR 21.4 million against a year ago, caused by special effects and market disruptions. These include problems with a dam project in the US, which have caused losses in parallel with substantially higher income tax expense. Loss per share was EUR 0.36 against EUR 0.86 a year ago. The company has concretized its guidance for financial year 2014. The group continues to estimate total group revenues of around EUR 1.55 billion and EBIT of around EUR 75 million for the current financial year. The after-tax profit is likely to come in at the lower end of the estimated range of EUR 15 million to 20 million. The company expects net profit in 2014 to be at the lower end of the projected range of EUR 15 million to EUR 20 million, compared with the earlier forecast for EUR 20 million to EUR 25 million.
