BRP Unveils 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3-S Special Series at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

BRP presents the 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3-S Special Series in Triple Black. This is the first model to be unveiled from the 2016 Can-Am Spyder model year line-up, and it features the muscular design and cruising-riding position of the Can-Am Spyder F3, coupled with exclusive Triple Black coloration and graphics, 6-spoke black chrome front wheels and tinted low windshield. Launched in 2015, the Can-Am Spyder F3 recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design in 2015 features a low center of gravity and performance-calibrated Vehicle Stability System that provides dynamic handling and great cornering, while ensuring unprecedented control. The Rotax 1330 ACE engine offers the power, torque, and signature exhaust note to make every journey exhilarating. The 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3-S Special Series in Triple Black will feature the Can-Am Spyder performance-driven SE-6 transmission, and will be available in limited quantities starting in January 2016. Pricing will be available this September 2015. The unveiling of the 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3-S Special Series kicks off BRP's presence at the 75th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. From Saturday, August 1, through Saturday, August 8, BRP will offer Can-Am Spyder demo rides starting at 9 a.m. Riders can experience multiple 2015 models " the Can-Am Spyder F3 (cruising), the Can-Am Spyder RT (touring), the Can-Am Spyder ST (sport touring) and the Can-Am Spyder RS (sport). The Can-Am brand will also have a display in downtown Sturgis between Main and Lazelle streets, where there will be a Spyder F3 and other models, Spyder Specialists, giveaways, as well as free Wi-Fi and charging stations for event attendees. Attendees will also be able to enter the Open Road Adventure Contest for a chance to win a fully accessorized Spyder F3 and a trip to the dream destination of their choice, valued at $50,000.

BRP Inc. Introduces New 135-hp Rotax Aircraft Engine

BRP Inc. has introduced a new 135-hp Rotax aircraft engine, the Rotax 915 iS. Based on the proven concept of the Rotax 912 /914 engine series, the Rotax 915 iS engine offers more power, the best power-to-weight ratio in its class, full take-off power up to at least 15,000 feet (4,570 m) and a service ceiling of 23,000 feet (7,010 m). The introduction of the Rotax 915 iS engine, a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder turbocharged aircraft engine with intercooler and a redundant fuel injection system, is in response to market demand for a modern, more powerful engine allowing higher payload and shorter take-offs. It delivers the most advanced aircraft engine technology resulting in low operating cost and ease of use. The serial production of the Rotax 915 iS engine is scheduled for the second half of 2017.

Williams Performance Tenders Signs Long-Term Supply Agreement with BRP

Williams Performance Tenders has signed a long-term supply agreement with BRP. Following the success of the Williams Sportjet range - powered by BRP's Rotax 4-TEC 150 and 200 engines - BRP will also supply Williams with the smaller and lighter Rotax ACE jet propulsion systems for the exclusive development and manufacturing of a new range of jet-powered rigid inflatable boats (RIBs), to be unveiled in early 2016. The new range is designed to complement the existing Turbojet, Dieseljet and Sportjet models. The agreement with BRP will see Williams continue to fit the exhilarating Rotax 4-TEC 150 and 200 engines to the Sportjet 460 and 520, which were respectively launched in 2014 and earlier this year. Further additions to the Sportjet line-up are due to be introduced later this year and into 2016.
