Further, it provides wealth management, financial advisory, and insurance services for individuals, retirement plans, corporate accounts, and trust accounts. The company serves individuals and business customers primarily in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, as well as other surrounding counties through its nine retail locations. Allegheny Valley Bancorp, Inc. was founded in 1900 is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Allegheny Valley Bancorp Inc. announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net income of $758,000 or $0.75 per share compared with first quarter 2014 net income of $685,000 or $0.69 per share. The increase in current period net income is primarily the result of a $154,000 increase in net interest income after provision for loan losses, and a $66,000 decrease in noninterest expense, offset by a $145,000 decrease in noninterest income. The improved net interest income is a result of improved securities interest income, higher FHLB dividends, and an overall reduction in interest expense due to the low interest rate environment.
