The company reported net earnings of $1.9 million, or $0.51 per share, for the third quarter of 2014, compared to $1.8 million, or $0.49 per share, for the third quarter of 2013. Excluding the effects of non-operating items, third quarter 2014 operating net earnings were $2.0 million, or $0.55 per share, compared to $2.1 million, or $0.59 per share, for the third quarter of 2013. Net interest income (tax-equivalent) was $5.8 million for the third quarter of 2014, compared to $5.6 million for the third quarter of 2013. Net interest income was $5,448,000 against $5,270,000 a year ago. Return on average equity was 10.19% against 10.78% a year ago.
