APN News & Media Mulls Acquisitions

APN News & Media Ltd. (ASX:APN) is seeking acquisitions. APN News & Media has flagged its intention to pursue acquisitions and other opportunities for growth after its largest shareholder, Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, sold his 30.8% stake on March 19, 2015. Michael Miller, Chief Executive of APN News & Media, said “The increased liquidity in the company would have a positive impact on the business. It's understood the company is hoping its new share register will enable it to take a more aggressive approach to expansion than it was able to do when INM and Mr O'Brien, who is INM's controlling shareholder, held one-third of the company.” "With a more open register that should enable us to pursue further growth opportunities," Michael Miller said.
