Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation operates as a real estate investment trust in the United States. The company primarily invests in the United States agency mortgage-backed securities, which are securities representing obligations guaranteed by the U.S. government, such as Ginnie Mae, or guaranteed by federally sponsored enterprises comprising Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. It also invests in collateralized mortgage obligations and mortgage derivative securities. The company qualifies as a real estate investment trust for federal income tax purposes. It generally would not be subject to federal corporate income taxes if it distributes at least 90% of its taxable income to its stockholders. Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Santa Monica, California.

The common stock dividend is payable on April 29, 2015 to common stockholders of record as of the close of business on March 31, 2015. Also, in accordance with the terms of Anworth's 7.625% Series C Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock, or Series C Preferred Stock, the board of directors declared a Series C Preferred Stock dividend of $0.476563 per share for the first quarter of 2015. Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation Announces Amendments to the Articles of Incorporation

Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation announced amendments to the articles of incorporation or bylaws. On March 2, 2015, the Company filed with the State Department of Assessments and Taxation of the State of Maryland, Articles Supplementary (the Articles Supplementary) to reclassify 4,655,000 shares of the Company's Preferred Stock, par value $0.01 per share (Preferred Stock), into shares of Series C Preferred Stock. The reclassification increases the number of shares classified as Series C Preferred Stock from 345,000 shares immediately prior to the reclassification to 5,000,000 shares immediately after the reclassification. The reclassification decreases the number of shares classified as Preferred Stock from 11,355,000 shares immediately prior to the reclassification to 6,700,000 shares immediately after the reclassification.
