ANA Holdings Inc., together with its subsidiaries, provides passenger and cargo transportation services in Japan and internationally. The company’s Air Transportation segment conducts domestic and international passenger operations; cargo and mail operations; and other transportation services. Its Airline Related segment conducts air transportation related operations, such as airport passenger and ground handling services, aircraft and vehicle maintenance services, cargo and logistics, in-flight catering, and call center services, as well as commission work services to other airlines. The company’s Travel Services segment engages in airline ticketing; and planning and selling branded travel packages with various inbound travel and travel savings plans using air transportation. Its Trade and Retail segment imports and exports goods related to air transportation, and semiconductors and electronic components; imports, exports, and sells paper, pulp, and food products; provides advertising agency services; and operates an online shopping site. This segment is also involved in in-store and non-store retailing business. The company also innovates and operates IT systems; and operates express shipping business. It provides passenger services through 1,082 flights on 133 routes daily in Japan and 938 flights weekly on 54 routes internationally, as well as 10 freighter flights on 6 routes daily in Japan and 162 freighter flights on 18 routes weekly internationally. As of October 26, 2014, it operated a fleet of approximately 240 aircraft. The company was formerly known as All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. and changed its name to ANA Holdings Inc. in April 2013. The company was founded in 1952 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

All Nippon Airways Intends To Participate In Skymark’s Sponsorship

ANA Holdings Inc. (TSE:9202) (All Nippon Airways) on February 23, 2015 announced plans to help turn around bankrupt Skymark Airlines Inc (TSE:9204), reportedly joining a string of other firms offering a lifeline to Skymark Airlines. "This morning, we submitted documents to show our intention to participate in the sponsorship (of Skymark), but we can't comment further now," said a spokeswoman for ANA Holdings.

All Nippon Airways Announces Management Changes

The All Nippon Airways announced the appointment of Shinya Katanozaka as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company replacing the incumbent CEO Shinichiro Ito. The newly appointed CEO will assume his responsibility on 1 April, 2015. Regarding the current ANA CEO Shinichiro Ito, he has been named as the new Chairman of the company, effective on 1 April, 2015, to replace Yoji Ohashi. Despite this management reshuffling exercise, Ohashi, who was appointed as the company s Chairman in 2005, will keep working as a Corporate Counselor of ANA Holdings, the parent firm of ANA.

Ana Holdings Announces Executive Changes, Effective April 1, 2015

ANA Holdings Inc. announced changes to its board. Shinya Katanozaka, senior executive vice president, will succeed Shinichiro Ito as president and CEO from 1 April 2015 while Mr. Ito will take over from Yoji Ohashi as chairman of the company on the same date. Mr. Katanozaka joined the company in 1979, after graduating from Tokyo University's Faculty of Law. In his 36 years at ANA, Mr. Katanozaka has led a number of the company's major divisions, including corporate planning, marketing & sales, products & services strategy, Customer Satisfaction promotion and personnel. Mr. Ito was appointed President and CEO of ANA in April 2009 and became President and CEO of ANA HD in 2013. Mr. Ohashi, who became Chairman of ANA in April 2005 after previously serving as the company's President and CEO, will continue to act as a Corporate Counselor of ANA HD.
