Møller - Mærsk said on August 13, 2015, "Company was actively looking for acquisitions in the North Sea as the current drop in energy prices made takeovers a better option than exploration. A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S announced group earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of $10,526 million compared with $11,949 million for the same period a year ago. EBITDA was $2,631 million compared with $3,085 million for the same period a year ago. EBIT was $1,539 million compared with $533 million for the same period a year ago. Profit before tax was $1,459 million compared with $348 million for the same period a year ago. Profit for the period from continuing operations was $1,086 million compared with loss for the year from continuing operations of $475 million for the same period a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was $1,777 million compared with $1,749 million for the same period a year ago. Cash flow used for capital expenditure was $3,075 million compared with $1,401 million for the same period a year ago. Profit for the year was $1,086 million or $49 per diluted share compared with $2,304 million or $102 per diluted share for the same period a year ago. Investments in property, plant and equipment and intangible assets were $1,998 million compared with $2,259 million for the same period a year ago. Maersk Supply Service Introduces its New Vessel Maersk Connector

Maersk Supply Service has introduced its subsea support vessel Maersk Connector at Damen Shipyards Galati, Romania in the presence of DeepOcean UK and the Damen Shipyards Group. Maersk Connector is the second of a new generation of cable-laying vessels developed by the Damen Shipyards Group. Her 7,000-tonne carousel will make her well suited for installation and burial projects from land-fall to deep water and also for operations in remote geographical locations.
