Logic Instrument and Ingram Micro Announce Distribution Agreement for the Entire Latin America Market

Logic Instrument and Ingram Micro Inc. announced the signature of a distribution agreement for the entire Latin America market. To respond to inquiries for which no products could be offered yet, Ingram Micro was looking for rugged tablet PCs and came across the Fieldbook series of Logic Instrument. The rugged tablets of the European manufacturer convinced immediately by their durability, performance, and their high quality. Ingram Micro will promote the Fieldbook devices via its B2B division DCPOS (Data Capture & Point of Sales) in order to boost sales in Latin America. This is done through a network of more than 150 partners throughout South America, consisting mainly of resellers and system integrators who specialize in various sectors.

Logic Instrument SA Announces Unaudited Turnover Results for the First Quarter of 2015

Logic Instrument SA announced unaudited turnover results for the first quarter of 2015. For the quarter, the company reported turnover of €1.93 million compared to €1.26 million a year ago. Part of the success is due to the introduction of the Fieldbook I1 end of 2014, which was well received by many customers in test and pilot phases. The 10- inch full HD tablet with Core-i5 CPU and Windows 8.1 is a reliable partner for use in the most adverse environmental conditions. It meets the high requirements of the IP65 and MIL-STD810G standards. Furthermore, several lots of rugged tablet PCs have been delivered to industrial and military customers, such as Thales and Airbus Defense. In addition, another batch of the HCN Navigator tablets was delivered to Hotel Communication Network beginning of the year.

Logic Instrument announced that it presents its latest innovation and brings an ultra rugged dual-SIM Phablet: the Fieldbook F1. The device smartly combines key features and characteristics of smartphones and tablet PCs - and it is rugged, shock and absolutely waterproof. Fieldbook F1 FrontCompared to conventional smartphones, the display is big enough to comfortably read e-mails and browse through the Web, but small enough to make no compromises in terms of mobility. Compared to Tablet PCs, the new F1 excels by lighter weight, longer battery life and phone function that can be used with two different SIM cards simultaneously. Latter avoids the hassle of switching back and forth from work to private phone SIMs and helps to prevent data security problems or by using two SIM cards from different operators to be available even where the main operator’s signal strength is poor or not present at all. The built-in 4G LTE module guarantees fast data rates. Also integrated is a 802.11 WiFi interface with the access point function as well as RFID NFC. Hard shell, fast core Fieldbook F1 Back: The IP68 certified Fieldbook F1 feels at home where conventional IT devices fail. Whether it gets dirty, dusty or wet, the Fieldbook phablet, despite its lightweight of 270 grams and its modest dimensions (175 x 88.8 x 12.5mm), always excels as reliable partner. Even drops and unfriendly temperatures down to -10° Celsius (+55°C high temperature range) don’t disrupt the operation. Whether it gets tough on site, in the laboratory or on the road, equipped with the rugged Logic Instrument Fieldbook F1 the user can concentrate on the essentials - his work. Equipped with the finest technology: Running Android 4.4 (KitKat) and featuring a powerful quad-core processor supported by 2GB of RAM, rapid data processing and fast multitasking are guaranteed. Far away from any external power supply, the 3500 mAh battery keeps the F1 running for more than 10.5 hours (test condition: 22°C room temperature, 50% display brightness, WiFi enabled, HD-video on permanent playback, system volume 100%). The internal flash storage keeps up to 16GB and 2TB are supported by the user accessible SD card reader.
