Altra Industrial Motion Corp. designs, produces, and markets electromechanical power transmission products worldwide. It provides clutches and brakes for material handling, forklift, elevator, medical mobility, mobile off-highway, baggage handling, and plant productivity applications, as well as for walk-behind and commercial mowers, and residential lawn tractors; and on-road refrigeration compressor and agricultural equipment clutches. The company also offers indexing and backstopping clutches for industrial applications; and heavy duty clutches and brakes for metal forming, oil and gas drilling platforms, mining, material handling, marine applications, and off-highway and construction equipment. In addition, it provides vertical and horizontal gear drives, speed reducers and increasers, high-speed compressor drives, enclosed custom gear drives, enclosed gear drive and gear motor configurations, and open gearing products for industrial, material handling, mixing, transportation, and food processing applications. Further, the company offers gear and jaw couplings, high-speed disc and diaphragm couplings, elastomeric and grid couplings, universal joints, and spindles for power generation, steel, and custom machinery industries; and ball and roller bearings, track rollers, thrust and stainless steel bearings, polymer assemblies, housed units, and custom assemblies for the general industrial and automotive markets. Additionally, it provides power transmission components to generate, transfer, or control motion from a power source to an application requiring rotary or linear motion; and engineered belted drives. The company sells its products to original equipment manufacturers and distributor outlets through its direct sales force and independent sales representatives. The company was formerly known as Altra Holdings, Inc. and changed its name to Altra Industrial Motion Corp. in November 2013. Altra Industrial Motion Corp. is headquartered in Braintree, Massachusetts.

Altra Industrial Motion Corp. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company’s net sales were $202,520,000 compared to $175,443,000 in the same period last year. Income from operations was $17,805,000 compared with $18,887,000 in the same period last year. Income before income taxes was $15,118,000 compared with $15,634,000 in the same period last year. Net income attributable to company was $6,946,000 or $0.25 per diluted share compared to $10,501,000 or $0.39 per diluted share in the same period last year. Non-GAAP income from operations was $19,934,000 against $19,266,000 in the same period last year. Non-GAAP adjusted net income was $12,241,000 against $10,755,000 a year ago. Non-GAAP adjusted diluted earnings per share were $0.45 against $0.40 in the same period last year. For the nine months, the company’s net sales were $627,856,000 compared to $541,688,000 in the same period last year. The company also expects capital expenditures in the range of $23 million to $25 million and depreciation and amortization in the range of $32 million to $33 million.
