AFG Arbonia-Forster-Holding AG operates as a construction materials and machinery company in Switzerland, Germany, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle and Far East, and internationally. The company operates through three divisions: Building Technology, Building Envelope, and Building Security. The Building Technology division offers heating technology, air-conditioning, industrial ventilation, indoor air quality, and sanitary equipment under the Kermi, Arbonia, Prolux, Sabiana, and PZP brand names. This division’s products include radiators, surface heating systems, heat pumps, fan coils, air handling units, and shower stalls and enclosures. The Building Envelope division develops, produces, assembles, and sells building envelope products, such as windows and exterior doors made of wood, synthetics, and aluminum under the EgoKiefer, Slovaktual, Dobroplast brand names. The Building Security division offers steel and stainless steel profile systems for glazed doors, windows, and facades that are used in fire and smoke protection, and security applications in in public, commercial, and industrial buildings. This division offers its products under the Forster Profile Systems and RWD Schlatter brand names. AFG Arbonia-Forster-Holding AG was founded in 1874 and is headquartered in Arbon, Switzerland.

AFG Arbonia-Forster-Holding AG reported earnings results for the year 2014. For the year, the company reported profit from continuing operations tumbled to CHF 11.3 million (USD 11.76 million /EUR 10.5 million) from CHF 33.4 million a year earlier, due to the weak performance of the building envelope unit. Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) dropped 45.7% to CHF 33.4 million. Revenues rose by 1.3% to CHF 1.017 billion.

Adjusted for currency and acquisition effects, however, revenues dropped 2.4%. For the year 2015, the company now expects its earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) margin to be 4%, instead of the previously projected 5%. In November, the company cuts its full-year guidance, saying it expects sales to drop by 3%, compared with the previous forecast for an increase by 1%.
