aehr test systems (AEHR) Details

Aehr Test Systems designs, engineers, develops, manufactures, and sells test and burn-in equipment used in the semiconductor industry worldwide. Its systems are used to simultaneously perform parallel testing and burn-in of packaged integrated circuits (ICs), singulated bare die, or ICs still in wafer form. The company offers Advanced Burn-In and Test System that tests and burn-in high-power logic and low-power ICs; FOX full wafer contact parallel test and burn-in systems designed to make contact with all pads of a wafer simultaneously, thus enabling full wafer parallel test and burn-in; and MAX burn-in system designed for monitored burn-in of memory and logic devices. It products also comprise WaferPak full wafer contactor, a cartridge system that includes a full-wafer probe card for use in testing wafers in FOX systems; DiePak carrier, a reusable, temporary package that enables IC manufacturers to perform cost-effective final test and burn-in of singulated bare die; and test fixtures that hold the devices undergoing test or burn-in and electrically connect the devices under test to the system electronics. In addition, the company offers customer service and support programs, including system installation, system repair, applications engineering support, spare parts inventories, customer training, and documentation. It markets and sells its products to semiconductor manufacturers, semiconductor contract assemblers, electronics manufacturers, and burn-in and test service companies through a network of distributors and sales representatives. The company was founded in 1977 and is headquartered in Fremont, California.

Aehr Test Systems Announces Order for Fox(TM)-XP Multi-Wafer System Evaluation

Aehr Test Systems announced a purchase order from a leading IC manufacturer for a custom FOX Multi-Wafer Test System WaferPakTM Contactor and evaluation activities that will enable the manufacturer to qualify Aehr Test's next-generation FOX-XP multi-wafer system and FOX WaferPakTM Contactor for production test and burn-in of its devices. The customer evaluation plan includes milestones for providing the WaferPak contactor, developing test plans and supporting correlation studies over the next two quarters. Aehr Test is developing the FOX-XP system, its next-generation multi-wafer test solution that is capable of functional test and burn-in/cycling of flash memories, microcontrollers and other ICs in wafer form before they are assembled into multi-die stacked packages. These stacked packages can then be used for high reliability and quality applications such as enterprise solid state drives, automotive devices, mission critical integrated circuits and sensors. The FOX-XP system utilizes Aehr Test's FOX WaferPak contactor, which provides a cost effective solution for making electrical contact with a full wafer or substrate in a multi-wafer environment. Aehr Test's WaferPak contactors contain up to 10s of thousands of probes to contact all devices on wafers and substrates up to 300mm simultaneously. The FOX-XP system is being developed in configurations up to 25 wafers in parallel in a single system to operate within an efficient manufacturing space footprint. Aehr Test expects first shipments of the FOX-XP system by the latter part of calendar 2015.
