ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. reported earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of $866.7 million against $909.7 million a year ago. Operating profit was $125.5 million against $130.7 million a year ago. EBITDA was $166.8 million against $171.5 million a year ago. The decrease in adjusted net income reflects an increase in tax expenses during the quarter due to the reduction in the recorded, non-cash value of tax assets of the company resulting from the depreciation of the Brazilian currency. Free cash outflow in the first quarter of 2015 amounted to $164.4 million, compared with free cash outflow of $282.1 million in the same period in 2014, an improvement of $117.7 million. This improvement in free cash flow during a quarter which, due to seasonality, is net cash consumptive, reflects mainly a reduction in inventory due to operational efficiencies, and an overall lower working capital level.

ADAMA Eyes Acquisitions

ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. (NYSE:ADAM) is looking for acquisition opportunities. ADAMA is planning to raise NIS 600 million in a private bond placement for investment institutions. Adama has more than once stated unequivocally that despite the large volume planned for the issue, the bond proceeds would be used to recycle debt to the banks and the bondholders, and that the measure was related to ADAMA's plans for acquiring three companies in China.
