At a meeting on 20 May held after the Annual General Meeting of the shareholders, the Board of Directors of Credit Agricole S.A. ratified the appointment of Philippe Brassac as Chief Executive Officer of Credit Agricole S.A. On the recommendation of the new Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Directors made the following appointments: Xavier Musca as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and second effective manager pursuant to the French Monetary and Financial Code. Jean-Yves Hocher as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking and Private Banking. Bruno de Laage as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Retail Banking France, International Retail Banking, Specialised Financial Services and Payment Systems & Services. Michel Mathieu as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Asset Management, Insurance and Group Central Functions. The new Chief Executive Officer appointed Jerome Grivet as Deputy Managing Director in charge of Group finance. He reports to Philippe Brassac and Xavier Musca.

Credit Agricole S.A. Reports Company and Group Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 2015

Credit Agricole S.A. reported company and group earnings results for the first quarter ended March 2015. For the quarter, the group has posted revenue of EUR 8,035 million against EUR 7,796 million a year ago. Operating income was EUR 2,022 million against EUR 1,876 million a year ago. Income before tax was EUR 2,131 million against EUR 1,972 million a year ago. Net income was EUR 1,324 million against EUR 1,342 million a year ago. The company delivered net income group share of EUR 1,228 million in the first quarter of 2015, a decrease of 1.9% compared with the first quarter of 2014 restated. Excluding this item and before the application of IFRIC 21 interpretation, which led to the 2014 comparative data being restated, the company's net income group share would have been EUR 1,644 million, an increase of 15.8% compared with the stated figure of EUR 1,420 million for the first quarter of 2014. For the quarter, the company has posted revenue of EUR 4,359 million against EUR 4,055 million a year ago. Operating income was EUR 729 million against EUR 564 million a year ago. Income before tax was EUR 1,203 million against EUR 1,024 million a year ago. Net income was EUR 898 million against EUR 859 million a year ago. Net income Group share was EUR 784 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.6% compared with net income Group share for the first quarter of 2014 restated. Based on the regulations in force until 2014, before the application of IFRIC 21 and excluding the impact of the SRF contribution, net income Group share would have been EUR 1,096 million, an increase of 26.3% compared with the stated figure of EUR 868 million for the first quarter of 2014. This good performance was driven primarily by buoyant business activity, with revenues up 7.5% year-on-year.
