Amax International Holdings Limited Announces Resignation of CCIF CPA Limited as its Auditors

The board of directors of Amax International Holdings Limited announced that Messrs. CCIF CPA Limited have resigned as the auditors of the company and its subsidiaries with effect from April 10, 2015 as CCIF and the company could not reach an agreement on the audit fee for the financial year ended March 31, 2015. The Board further announced that the Board has resolved, with the recommendation from the audit committee of the company, to propose the appointment of Elite Partners CPA Limited as the new auditors of the company to fill the vacancy following the resignation of CCIF and to hold office until the conclusion of the next annual general meeting of the company, subject to the approval of the shareholders at a special general meeting. An ordinary resolution will be proposed at the SGM for the shareholders to consider, and if thought fit, appointing Elite Partners as the new auditors of the company.

Amax International Holdings Limited reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2014. For the period, the company reported turnover of HKD 2,443,000 against HKD 2,527,000 a year ago. Loss from operations was HKD 11,948,000 against HKD 10,740,000 a year ago. Loss before taxation was HKD 18,396,000 against HKD 16,092,000 a year ago. Loss attributable to owners of the company was HKD 17,772,000 or HKD 7.75 per basic and diluted share against HKD 15,767,000 or HKD 7.36 per basic and diluted share a year ago. During the period under review, the group's main sources of income was the income from VIP gaming and slot machine related operations. The increase in loss was mainly attributable to the increase in general and administrative expenses and finance costs during the period under review.
