It is also engaged in coal mining operations, as well as provides logistic services, power station project consultancy, and power station maintenance services. The company was founded in 2001 and is based in Wanchai, Hong Kong, and is considered a Red Chip company due to its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited is a subsidiary of China Resources National Corporation.

China Resources Power Holdings Co. Ltd. Recommends Final Dividend for the Year 2014, Payable on or About June 23, 2015; Reports Audited Consolidated Earnings and Operating Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2014

The Board of China Resources Power Holdings Co. Ltd. resolved to recommend a final dividend of HKD 0.70 per share for 2014. Including the interim dividend of HKD 0.08 per share paid in October 2014, total dividend paid and proposed for 2014 is HKD 0.78 per share. Subject to the approval of shareholders at the forthcoming annual general meeting of the Company to be held on June 8, 2015, the proposed final dividend will be distributed on or about June 23, 2015 to shareholders of the Company whose names appear on the register of members of the Company at the close of business on June 15, 2015. The company reported audited consolidated earnings and operating results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the company reported turnover of HKD 70,680,628,000 compared to HKD 69,581,526,000 a year ago. Operating profit was HKD 15,220,196,000 compared to HKD 17,504,501,000 a year ago. Profit before income tax was HKD 11,184,405,000 compared to HKD 16,137,229,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the company was HKD 9,214,858,000 or HKD 1.93 per diluted share compared to HKD 11,015,526,000 or HKD 2.31 per diluted share a year ago. Cash inflows from operating activities – net was HKD 26,499,915,000 against HKD 23,187,691,000 a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment, prepaid lease payments, mining rights and exploration and resources rights was HKD 24,483,498,000 compared to HKD 22,983,598,000 a year ago. The operating profit decrease was mainly due to increase in provision for impairment losses on coal assets; loss from coal business as sales volume of coal mines and average selling price of coal per tonne decreased; and exchange loss on the depreciation of RMB against HKD compared with exchange gain in 2013, partly offset by an increase in profits arising from the consolidated power plants and wind farms. As at 31 December 2014, the group's total attributable operational generation capacity increased to 31,331 MW from 26,921 MW as at 31 December 2013. As at 31 December 2014, attributable operational generation capacity of the group's coal-fired power plants amounted to 27,420 MW, accounting for 87.5% of the Group's total attributable operational generation capacity, representing a decrease of 0.5 percentage point compared to the end of 2013. Wind, gas-fired and hydro capacity amounted to 3,554 MW, 77 MW and 280 MW, respectively, and together accounting for 12.5% of the Group's total attributable operational generation capacity, representing an increase of 0.5 percentage point compared to the end of last year. The total gross generation volume of the Group's consolidated operating power plants and wind farms amounted to 140,068,174 MWh in 2014, representing an increase of 5.1% from 133,247,814 MWh in 2013. The total net generation volume of the Group's consolidated operating power plants and wind farms amounted to 132,036,399 MWh in 2014, representing an increase of 5.3% from 125,447,662 MWh in 2013. On a same plant basis (using 33 coal-fired power plants which were in commercial operations for the entire year of 2013 and 2014), both gross and net generation volumes decreased by 7.5%. The average full-load equivalent utilisation hours of the 33 coal-fired power plants in 2014 amounted to 5,325 hours, representing a decrease of 7.5% from 5,759 hours in 2013.
