The FPD segment develops, manufactures, sells, and distributes coater/developers and plasma etch/ash system for use in the manufacture of flat panel displays. The Electronic Components and Computer Networks segment procures, designs, develops, and distributes semiconductor products, including integrated circuits, other electronic components, computer networks, and software. The company also provides surface preparation systems, test systems, wafer bonding/debonding products, SIC epitaxial CVD systems, gas cluster ion beam systems, and advanced packaging products, as well as facility management and insurance, and logistics services. It has operations in Japan, the United States, Europe, and rest of Asia. Tokyo Electron was founded in 1963 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
