Mazda Motor Corp. Launches CX-3 Compact Sport-Utility Vehicle

Mazda Motor Corp. launched the all-new CX-3 compact sport-utility vehicle equipped with a 1,500-c.c. clean diesel engine. The vehicle is priced at between JPY 2,376,000 and JPY 3,024,000 yen. Buyers can receive subsidies from the government ranging from JPY 130,000 to JPY 160,000. Models with gasoline engines will be available in overseas markets, but only diesel models will be sold in Japan as Mazda is aiming to emphasize its diesel engine technology. With the CX-3, Mazda entered the compact SUV market. Vying with rivals such as Nissan Motor Co. and Honda Motor Co. Mazda has about a 60% share of the clean diesel vehicle market.

Mazda Motor Corporation Opens Mazda Space in Barcelona

Mazda Motor Corporation has opened a 'nonconformist and rebellious' cultural centre called Mazda Space in Barcelona's Born district. The facility coversan area of 6,400 square feet and is Mazda's first public space for arts and culture. Mazda Motor Spain has recruited local partners to design a yearlong cultural calendar.

Mazda Motor Corporation Launches MX-5 Accessories Concept at Chicago Auto Show

Mazda Motor Corporation is launching its MX-5 accessories concept vehicle at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The model is based on the 2016 MX-5 and features an Aero Kit, lightweight Brembo brakes, BBS alloy wheels and a luggage rack made of carbon fibre. The vehicle is to arrive at United States dealerships later this year.
