THine Electronics Inc. Unveils New V-by-One HS Series for Multifunction Printers

THine Electronics Inc. has announced its new V-by-One HS series designed for multifunction printers, industrial and automotive markets. The newly launched lineups consist of THCV233 and THCV234, specially upgraded in terms of temperature and bandwidth. These products now support wider temperature from -40°C to 105°C, suitable for automotive application. In addition, these offer wider range of applicable bandwidth. For example, in order to apply these V-by-One HS products to small-medium sized 24-bit LCD panels for operating copiers and industrial machines, these products supports from 9 MHz to 100 MHz, drastically upgraded from 20 MHz to 100 MHz as used to be. These upgrades expand the applicable markets wider automotive and industrial applications. V-by-One HS technology, developed by THine, has been used widely not only for internal interface of 4K television worldwide, but also for automotive infotainment, document processing, machine visions, security cameras, amusement, factory automation, medical electronics. V-by-One HS technology delivers values of high-speed performance transmitting pixel data and control signals, reducing the number of cables and connectors, enhancing noise tolerance levels, reducing the size of moving parts, and transmitting for longer distance. Especially for automotive infotainment, V-by-One HS technology is expected to be applied in LCD panels for entertainment of front seats and rear seats, display audio systems, car navigation systems because of shifting to full HD resolution and expanding requirements for high-speed interface. THine, utilizing its accumulated technology such as V-by-One HS, plans to deliver value of higher-speed performance for long distance, reducing required spaces and costs, continuously to industrial, automotive, mobile, and consumer electronics applications.

Thine Electronics, Inc. Announces an Motor Driver Product, THM3561

THine Electronics Inc. announced an motor driver product, THM3561, with input/output of LVDS or Low Voltage Differential Signaling. The sample of THM3561 will be available in January, 2015. The new motor driver product, allowing differential signaling by LVDS input/output, is developed with THine’s accumulated technology and know-how in high-speed serial interface. The new feature with LVDS input/output achieves superior noise tolerance and high-speed data transmission for long distance. Since THine has LED driver line-ups also with LVDS input/output, this brand-new motor driver can be used jointly with THine’s LED drivers by cascade connection or multi-drop connection. Joint use of THine’s motor driver and LED driver both with LVDS input/output enables to simplify internal interface of equipments and application systems. Moreover, plural THM3561 products can be connected only by two pair cables and every control can be achieved. This feature also contributes to reduce the number of cables, wiring spaces, and costs, accelerating time-to-markets. For example, a cascade connection of THM3561 products in every 3 meters allows complicated controls of 30 motors with long-distance data transmission for approximately 100 meters only by two pair cables. The anticipated application is large machine tools, factory automation and robotics, large motor control systems for long-distance, motor drivers of robotics or humanoid robots such as those with 30 finger-joints of both hands. THM3561 also has serial interface to transmit sensor output signals of position detection to controllers. Spread of Internet of Things or IoT brings numerous sensors and the new product THM3561 can drive motors according to the output signal from sensors, reducing the parts counts drastically and simplifying the systems. In addition to driving motors, THM3561 can drive 4-channel electromechanical solenoids that move iron cores and convert electrical current into fast straight-line movement with greater force and quick response. THine’s new solution with THM3561 enables to reduce the total number of cables for driving solenoids. It can be applied to various markets of consumer electronics, document processing, electromagnetic switches and relays, automatic vending machines, and other industrial equipments. THine plans to develop new motor drivers and add the lineups according to the markets’ requests, starting from the THM3561.

THine Releases an AEC-Q100 Compliant Dual-Link LVDS for Full HD

THine Electronics Inc. announced an industry-first AEC-Q100 compliant dual-link LVDS for full HD display panels, delivering its mass production from January, 2015. AEC-Q100 is a widely accepted reliability testing specification of automotive integrated circuits. The new LVDS product is THC63LVD827-Q, supporting wide temperature from - 40°C to 105°C in order to be applied to various automotive LCD panels. This product converts pixel data of TTL signals out of application processors to LVDS signals and transmits to full HD LCD panels with high-speed performance. This dual-link LVDS supports the industry trend of using higher definition LCD panels in automotive infotainment, LCD instrument cluster, including speedometers, and digital instrument panels. THC63LVD827-Q supports various resolutions such as XGA (1024 x 768), full HD (1920 x 1080), WUXGA (1920 x 1200), QWXGA (2048 x 1152) with the industry-lowest-level power consumption among dual-link LVDS for high definition medium-small LCD panels. THine plans to deliver new products compliant with AEC-Q100, starting from this dual-link LVDS product, and offers valuable solutions for automotive markets.
