Loss attributable to equity holders of the company was HKD 50,327,000 or 2.5 cents per basic share compared to profit attributable to equity holders of the company of HKD 402,589,000 or 20.1 cents per basic share last year. Net cash used in operating activities was HKD 355,038,000 compared to net cash flows from operating activities of HKD 93,597,000 last year.

The directors of Hongkong Chinese Limited have resolved to declare the payment of an interim distribution of HKD 1 cent compared to HKD 2 cents per share a year ago, amounting to approximately HKD 20 million for the six months ended 30 September, 2014 compared to approximately HKD 40 million a year ago, which will be paid on or about 28 January, 2015 to shareholders whose names appear on the company's register of members on 14 January, 2015.
