Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and distribution of alumina, and primary aluminum and aluminum fabricated products in the mainland of China and internationally. It operates through Alumina, Primary Aluminum, Trading, and Energy segments. The Alumina segment is involved in the mining and purchasing of bauxite and other raw materials; and production and sale of alumina, as well as alumina-related products, such as alumina hydrate, alumina-based chemical products, and gallium. The Primary Aluminum segment procures alumina, other raw materials, supplemental materials, and electricity power; and produces and sells primary aluminum and aluminum-related products comprising carbon products, aluminum alloy products, and other electrolytic aluminum products. The Trading segment is involved in the trading of alumina, primary aluminum, other non-ferrous metal products, coal products, and supplemental materials. The Energy segment engages in coal mining; electricity generation by thermal power, wind power, and solar power; new energy related equipment manufacturing business; and the construction and operation of coal aluminum integration. The company also manufactures, acquires, and distributes bauxite mines, limestone ore, aluminum magnesium ore, and related nonferrous metal products. The company was founded in 2001 and is based in Beijing, the People's Republic of China. Aluminum Corporation of China Limited is a subsidiary of Aluminum Corporation of China.

Aluminum Corporation Of China Limited announced earnings and production results for the first half year ended June 30, 2015. The group's revenue for the first half of 2015 was RMB 66,087,169,000, representing a decrease of 5.71% from RMB 70,092,022,000 of the corresponding period of the preceding year. This was mainly attributable to a decrease in sales volume of trading. For the six months ended June 30, 2015, the group's accumulated project investment expenditures (excluding equity interest investments) amounted to RMB 3,649 million, which mainly consisted of investments in energy saving and consumption reduction, environmental governance, resources acquisition and technological research and development. Operating profit was RMB 2,724,401,000 against operating loss of RMB 1,444,212,000 a year ago. Profit before income tax was RMB 168,617,000 against loss before income tax of RMB 3,794,696,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was RMB 27,577,000 or RMB 0.002 per basic and diluted share against loss attributable to owners of the parent of RMB 4,123,432,000 or RMB 0.30 per basic and diluted share a year ago. For the first half of 2015, the group's cash inflows generated from operating activities amounted to RMB 2,807,712,000 against RMB 4,701,406,000 for the corresponding period of the preceding year, mainly attributable to increase in the group's inventories and accounts receivable. Purchases of intangible assets were RMB 8,919,000 against RMB 283,275,000 a year ago. Purchases of property, plant and equipment were RMB 4,060,068,000 against RMB 3,194,812,000 a year ago. Weighted average return on net assets was 0.08%. In the first half of 2015, the production and consumption of alumina were approximately 58.80 million tonnes and 57.00 million tonnes, respectively. China's output and consumption of alumina were approximately 28.20 million tonnes and 29.77 million tonnes, respectively. Imported alumina was approximately 1.81 million tonnes, representing a period-on-period decrease of 34.40%. As of the end of June, the global capacity utilization rate of alumina was approximately 82.00%, while the domestic capacity utilization rate of alumina was approximately 85.45%.
