Black Earth Farming Limited was founded in 2005 and is based in St. Helier, the Channel Islands.

Black Earth Farming Limited Announces Audited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2014

Black Earth Farming Limited announced audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the company's revenue was $112.8 million compared with $134.98 million a year ago. Total revenue and gains was $144.4 million compared with $148.3 million a year ago. Operating profit was $6.2 million compared with operating loss of $30.6 million a year ago. Loss before income tax was $16.4 million compared with $44.8 million a year ago. Loss for the year attributable to owners of the parent was $17.4 million or $0.08 per basic and diluted share compared with $45.9 million or $0.22 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was $0.87 million compared with net cash used in operating activities of $1.2 million a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant and equipment was $18.4 million compared with $12.4 million a year ago. As on December 31, 2014, the company's net debt was $27.3 million. EBITDA stood at $20.8 million in 2014 against loss of $11.48 million in 2013. The improvement in operating performance was driven from gross profit, up $31.78 million from $6.18 million in 2013 to $37.88 million in 2014. Total revenue and gains were only down –3% year-on-year to $144.4 8 million despite a 16% reduction in cropped area and sugar beet coming out of the crop mix.
