In addition, the company manufactures and sells consumables and equipment for healthcare systems consisting of digital X-ray diagnostic imaging systems, digital mammography/diagnostic ultrasound systems, medical imaging filling systems, all-in-one medical imaging information workstations, medical management support and service, and diagnosis medicines. Further, it is involved in planetarium operations, including digital full-dome show, and management and operation for planetarium facilities. The company was founded in 1873 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

For the quarter, net sales were ¥277.9 billion against ¥260.8 billion a year ago. Operating income was ¥20.7 billion against ¥19.2 billion a year ago. Ordinary income was ¥16 billion against ¥17.8 billion a year ago. Net income was ¥10.7 billion or ¥21.36 per share after dilution against ¥11 billion or ¥21.16 per share after dilution a year ago. Capital expenditure was ¥13 billion against ¥16 billion a year ago. Free cash flow was ¥20.6 billion against ¥10.3 billion a year ago. Income before income taxes and minority interests was ¥14 billion against ¥9.5 billion a year ago. For the year, net sales were ¥1,011,774 million against ¥943,759 million a year ago. Operating income was ¥66,200 million against ¥58,144 million a year ago. Ordinary income was ¥59,867 million against ¥54,621 million a year ago. Return on equity to be 10%. The group expects that free cash flow (the sum of operating and investing activities) will be an inflow of ¥15.0 billion in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016.
