GCL New Energy Holdings Limited announced production results for the first half of 2015. For the first half of 2015, the group produced approximately 36,768 metric tons of polysilicon, representing an increase of approximately 14% over the same period of last year. External sales of polysilicon were approximately 7,005 metric tons, representing a decrease of approximately 6% over the same period of last year. For the first half of 2015, the group produced approximately 7,102 megawatt of wafers, representing an increase of approximately 18% over the same period of last year.

GCL New Energy Holdings Limited reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2015. The company reported revenue of HKD 1,135,237,000, operating profit of HKD 148,113,000, profit before income tax of HKD 117,692,000, profit attributable to owners of the company of HKD 90,156,000 or 0.23 per diluted share against revenue of HKD 800,381,000, operating profit of HKD 10,499,000, profit before income tax of HKD 56,334,000, profit attributable to owners of the company of HKD 39,910,000 or 0.33 per diluted share a year ago. Increased revenue was mainly contributed by the rapid development of the Solar Energy Business. EBITDA and EBITDA margin for the six months ended 30 June 2015 were HKD 373.5 million and 32.9%, respectively, as compared to HKD 136.7 million and 17.1% for the six months ended 30 September 2014. The increase was attributable to the profits generated from the Solar Energy Business as this segment started to generate revenue during this interim period. Net cash used in operating activities was HKD 413.1 million against net cash from operating activities of HKD 18.3 million a year ago. Net debt was HKD 5,014 million against HKD 1,979.9 million a year ago.
