GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited, an investment holding company, operates as a solar photovoltaic company in the People’s Republic of China and internationally. The company operates in four segments: Solar Material Business, Power Business, Solar Farm Business, and New Energy Business. The Solar Material Business segment primarily manufactures and sells polysilicon and wafer to companies operating in the solar industry. The Power Business segment is involved in the development, construction, management, and operation of power plants; and sale of coal. Its power plants include coal fuelled cogeneration, resources utilization cogeneration, gas fuelled cogeneration, biomass fuelled cogeneration, incineration, and solar plants, as well as a wind power plant. As of December 31, 2014, this segment operated 21 power plants. The Solar Farm Business segment engages in the development, construction, management, operation, and sale of solar farms. The New Energy Business segment develops, constructs, operates, and manages solar farms; and manufactures and sells printed circuit boards. The company is also involved in the manufacture and sale of ingots, crucibles, and solar grade and semiconductor grade polysilicon raw material; trading of wafers, solar cells, modules, coal, and steam; operation of boilers; and provision of management services. GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited was incorporated in 2006 and is based in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd. Provides Earnings Guidance for the Six Months Ended 30 June 2015

GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd. announced, that it reviewed the latest available unaudited management accounts of GNE and its subsidiaries, the GNE's board of directors expected the GNE Group to record a profit attributable to owners of GNE of approximately HKD 90.0 million for the six months ended 30 June 2015 as compared with a profit attributable to the owners of GNE of approximately HKD 39.9 million for the six months ended 30 September 2014. The GNE Board considered that the profit was mainly attributable to the increase in profits generated from its solar farm business, due to revenue of that segment for a full 6-month period was incorporated into the GNE Group's financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2015, while no revenue was recorded of that segment in the last interim period.
