Oji Holdings Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, produces and sells pulp and paper products, and converted paper products in Japan and internationally. The company operates through Household and Industrial Materials, Printing and Communications Media, Functional Materials, Forest Resources and Environmental Marketing, and Other segments. The Household and Industrial Materials segment offers containerboards, corrugated containers, boxboard and packaging papers, folding cartons, paper bags, household papers, and disposable diapers. The Printing and Communications Media segment provides newsprint, printing and publication, and communications papers. The Functional Materials segment offers advanced specialty papers comprising insulation papers for transformers; aramid papers; box-boards for food packaging; thin paper for dictionaries; and non-woven fabrics of glass fiber. It also provides thermal papers and films that are used in various areas, such as receipts, tickets, process controls, labels, lotteries, and medical images; adhesive labels comprising food and beverage labels, measurement and logistics labels, adhesive tapes for packaging, adhesive dressings for wound care, cooling sheets, and aluminum tapes; capacitor films for hybrid and electric vehicles; and anti-scattering and adhesive films. The Forest Resources and Environmental Marketing segment is involved in the lumber/forest plantation activities; and renewable energy business, as well as in the manufacture of pulp. The Other segment engages in the real estate, machinery, trading, and other activities. The company was formerly known as Oji Paper Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Oji Holdings Corporation in October 2012. Oji Holdings Corporation was founded in 1873 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

Oji Holdings Corporation Announces Management Changes

Oji Holdings Corp. announced that Executive Vice President Susumu Yajima, 63, will succeed Kiyotaka Shindo as its president on January 11. Shindo will step aside to become chairman with the right to represent the company. Incumbent Chairman Kazuhisa Shinoda will leave the post due to health reasons but remain on the company's board while relinquishing his representative right. Shindo and Yajima are set to serve as co-group chief executive officers. Currently, Shindo is group CEO.

Oji Holdings Corporation reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the half year ended September 30, 2014. For the period, the company has posted net sales of JPY 637,284 million against JPY 642,649 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 19,244 million against JPY 26,522 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 16,393 million against JPY 31,499 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 6,602 million or JPY 6.67 diluted per share against JPY 15,876 million or JPY 16.06 diluted per share a year ago. Income before income taxes and minority interests was JPY 15,216 million against JPY 27,356 million a year ago. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015, the company expects net sales of JPY 1,340,000 million, operating income of JPY 58,000 million, ordinary income of JPY 50,000 million, and net income of JPY 22,000 million or JPY 22.26 per share.
